I’d imagine that most women would go for that option if they could. Eliminate the risk of death, life long disability or injury, permanent unwanted changes to the body, hormone fluctuations, discomfort, bleeding. There would still be women out there who want to experience the “real thing”, but I don’t believe it would be the majority.

I estimate the man-hating feminists and stuck-up princesses with unrealistic expectations to account for 80-90% of all women in the West. Since I mostly consider the West in my answer, and there was no option labeled "80-90%", I picked the next highest option - "60-80%".

I do believe that true intimacy and even the experience of childbirth is precious for any sane woman, and it is also important for most, if not all men. Therefore, I believe the man-hating feminists will get sterilized and will therefore wipe themselves out of the gene pool, with the stuck-up princesses with unrealistic expectations likely following suit due to the explosion of the Red Pill community and the MGTOW movement (the introduction of artificial wombs will also save the MGTOW movement from self-depopulation, since they are only distrustful towards carbon-based women and would likely accept the company of silicon-based women- this might prove crucial to humanity since the one most willing to sacrifice themselves for a cause will be spared this time), while most men and the remaining women will enter relationships with each other over time. Since there will be a significant shortage of carbon-based women in this equation, this will be supplemented for with silicon-based women (AI-powered robots with artificial wombs).

However, those women who are only fearful and not outwardly hateful will easily get back to factory settings once they realize they have been lied to - and a number of them are already realizing this fact. Fears are meant to be overcome - and many women are currently awakening to this.

Personally, I couldn't have both a carbon-based woman as my wife and a silicon-based woman as a surrogate. I could have a silicon-based woman as a wife if I couldn't find a carbon-based woman for this role, but not both. So if a carbon-based woman was too afraid of giving birth to agree to it, I'd be forced to choose another one, and if there was no other sane carbon-based woman around, I would be forced to pick a silicon-based woman instead.

I do agree about the money. However, the non-man-hating women will be willing to actually give something worthwhile back for what men provide for them. This is simple Red Pill - women do look for providers, but respectable women are willing to be caretakers for their providers.
