Way different means some think you come off as really nice and chill, and some think you look mean/intimidating. Like there's no clear or over aching answer, people have totally different ideas of what they think you are, as opposed to most people thinking the same thing.

A funny thing about people is how differently they react to me. I'm a fairly large guy. And I'm quiet / introverted by choice. I do not make it easy for anyone to approach me. I simply don't want to interact with most people, like 95% of people. When I do interact I give out very little information until I know the other person well. That can take 1-2 years.

So women usually read me one of three ways...

• Shy.
• Arrogant.
• Confident.

Along with that primary assessment there's an element of mystery because I'm a large muscular guy, well dressed, and apparently good enough looking to draw attention. But I'm not interacting with anyone. Here's where my silent approach works against me sometimes. Some women get intrigued and just have to come chat me up to find out who I am. My habit of giving them very little information about me just feeds the mysterious image they already have of me and they try even harder to get to know me.

Men read me maybe three ways too...

• Dangerous.
• Competition. Jealousy kicks in.
• A guy who just wants to be left alone.
• ... A fourth option is a weird one... some guys accuse me of being a "rich guy". Not sure what triggers that perception in their brains. Clothes? Confidence? The way women interact with me? Something in the way I act?

Here again, being quiet and not interacting works to keep most guys from trying to start a conversation. But I get jealous husbands and boyfriends occasionally who try to act tough or start a fight when I'm doing absolutely nothing but minding my own business while their wife or girlfriend is trying to lock eyes with me constantly or coming over to chat me up because they just have to know who I am. Buddy I am not your problem. If you want to make me your problem to soothe your bruised ego and insecurities, your evening is gonna suck. I suggest you go have a conversation with your female companion, not me. And then their are the couples (4 in total) who approached me to ask about a threesome. Those are weird, hilarious, interesting conversations. I never see those coming.

Oh, almost forgot.

I've had one woman walk up and sit next to me and the first words out of her mouth were "you look like you could be an assassin". Umm, yeah, thanks... I guess?

Another one, same basic scenario, "have you ever killed anyone"? Those were her opening words.

And other stuff along those lines from men and women. I assume that means people don't read me as the friendly nice guy.

I'd say when im myself and not putting up a front to keep boundaries in check. It varies a little bit but he's my sum.

Old ladies see me as a gentle young man who's nervous, and they speak to me a lot and comfort me sometimes when it's not really needed.

Younger women my age see me as an overgrown kid, too intense and maybe a bit insecure, some empathise though but they are rarer.

Kids see me as an overgrown kid (not in a weird way) I can be childish with some of my mannerisms when i talk to people.

Most old men see me as a hot mess and tease and belittle me a bit.

Men my age see me competitively, a few relate to me but they usually aren't try to outdo me in some way they are secure in themself not some hierarchy.
