What the hell really happened?

I have mentioned before that year 2008 was the year that plunged the United States into a rapid downwards spiral.

I came across this video recently, and it even mentioned 2008 as the downwards turn:

Pre-2008, things were actually decent. Life was at a slower-pace, the economy was better, and people were less crazy. I can recall in 8th grade (also 2008) that the moral fabric was starting to deteriorate.

We have to really think back at what was going on in 2008.

This was the year of election of Obama. This is when the whole PC and woke cultures were unleashed. 2008 was also the year of the Great Recession and the housing market bubble burst. While the first iPhone was released in 2007, the new era of the smartphone craze was really taking shape.

Also in 2008 marked the beginning of some very dark times for me. My family was breaking apart and my mental health hit rock bottom.

Things never really truly recovered since. There may have been some upswings here and there, but as it stands today, we are in an existential crisis and the instability and polarization is tearing us apart.

Not sure what I am agreeing or not agreeing with so I didn't answer the poll.

But here in this video is the best explanation of what happened in that period. Of course most of the media lied and blamed it on the Republicans. But it was squarely the fault of the Democrats who blocked every attempt to stop the collapse.

It so happens that I was in the mortgage banking industry myself in the 90s and saw for myself how the Democrats were pushing making loans to people who had no chance of ever paying them back under the guise of "racism" and other such nonsense. When banks make enough loans to people who will never pay them back what do you expect is going to happen?

Well, by the time this was going on for 10 or 15 years... it did.

The Democrats... and at the top of that pile Democrat Barney Frank were responsible for the meltdown and all the suffering Americans went through as a result of it.

I started working at a state college in 2002. It is located in an urban area. When I first started working there the white kids and the black kids would all sit together in the cafeteria, By 2010 the white kids sat on one side and the black kids would sit on the other. I am not sure what happened but if I was to hazard a guess I would say Obama had a hand in it.

Things were actually pretty decent until Trump came along. That was then; they took a great downturn, and exactly what you are describing. You just have your timing wrong.
