I think what he really wants is to invoke the Insurrection Act, and then he can cancel elections at will. He doesn't have to release the Epstein papers, and it effectively makes him a dictator. I believe this is what he really wants. As for the direct question about a civil war, he might feel like this is going to be too disruptive to his own goals. He certainly doesn't care what a civil war would do to the United States in general, other than that.

No, the economy is gaining momentum. Today it was reported that the US trade deficit is at a 16 year low. This can be attributed to tariffs. Tax cuts are taking effect and deregulation will continue. you are not looking. I see that gas went down again and my home heating oil was 3,55 down from almost 5 bucks a gallon last winter. I have been looking at new trucks and they are the same price as they were a year ago. That may be because I was looking at Fords. I got my shipment of steaks today from Kansas City and the ribeyes were 13 bucks a pound, about the same as last year.

I have not seen any decrease in traffic. Employment has been steady over the last year only rising 1/10 of a percent. With new investment in America the jobs numbers will rise. The lions share of the job losses are from all the government employees that have been furloughed.

There are many foreign countries that are building facilities in the US. Not just AI data centers which there are hundreds being built but factories producing automobiles, farm machinery, pharmaceuticals and countless other products. Factories are not built overnight but there are hundreds of them in process and President Trump is fast tracking them to get them on line as soon as possible. In many parts of the country there is a shortage of construction workers because of this.
