This is an interesting hypothesis, but I don't think it's particularly parsimonious. A more parsimonious hypothesis would be that conservatives typically men tend to be really angry and they may not feel entirely comfortable with that. So when they see other men being angry and getting away with it, this makes them feel like:Being angry is acceptable,
Being angry is safe, in the sense that you can act out and probably nothing will happen to you because look at all the other men over there. Nothing happens to them.

A slightly more invidious, but nevertheless probably valid, hypothesis I suspect is that many of them have homosexual impulses that are completely unacceptable to them, so they overcorrect by becoming "manly men" who get to carry guns and scare the crap out of people with the abuse that they dish out.

A good example of this was the guys that were there on January 6th with the cosplay and all the guns and everything they brought along with them to try and look tough. Many members of ICE seem to be of the same persuasion with her makeshift uniforms and their guns and helmets and all the crap that goes along with it. Just the paraphernalia. I mean, what the hell, even Kristy Noem does "badass cosplay".

One of my best friends was a cop. It's completely fucked, an absolute shit show of a job. You're everybody's Captain Save-A-Hoe. You see people die almost every day. You are the trashman that picks up the slime of humanity. You're like the animal control for people. It takes a killer to stop a killer. You're not going to stop them by asking nicely, or holding hands and singing Kumbaya like a fucking gentle leaf eater. You're supposed to keep your mouth shut about the bad cops or you're considered a traitor, which can get you killed when you need backup and nobody shows up. Liberals like this who always bad mouth cops act like they're going to call a professional cuddler to come hug the criminals, but are the first ones to call the cops when they feel that their life is in danger and they don't have a gun. Cops are people just like everybody else, there's good ones and bad ones. In a perfect world there's no such thing as bad cops, but real life is not the Andy Griffith show.

How they got that conclusion is beyond me. those I know are not submissives that need to be told what to do to be safe. In general, they are more independent, successful, hard working and responsible.

What they are is people whom respect the position police are in, the job they do, and so they treat them with respect. I know one that was arrested by police and wasn't his fault (domestic... wives are not arrested... the male generally is).

For me, when police engaged me, I thought about them and their safety first. When "the other people" engage with police, that are often causing so many of the bad encounters, they are selfish.

Granted, there are cases the cops are creating bad scenarios and are abusive, and that is played in media and messes up many.

I think this lady is wrong.

What if there were no utility workers keeping up the storm drains, catch basins, street lights. Holey shit this moron is beyond belief! Arresting wrong suspects? of course not.

Support as a whole? Law and order, protection... arresting thieves, murderers, illegals, rapists, fraudsters... of course.
