Does anyone know why Italians are so arrogant and hate France and French so much?

They feel the need to constantly remind people that they have the best food (which they don't) and that they have the most UNESCO sites. But what I really don't understand is their disdain towards everything French, because French people love Italy and its culture, and travel there, and never say anything bad about Italy. But France, you can't even mention in a possitive light without some Italian going off on a tangent. Why are Italian people like this?

I saw a video where a woman who moved to Italy was filming a video in France, but bragging about Italian food.

On the same channel, she fed French food to one of her Italian friends, and the Italian guy was struggling so hard not to admit that he likes it

I really appreciate Italian history and culture.
I think there are good and bad people everywhere, and I suppose that many Italians must appreciate France despite everything.


But I would like to point out that it is partly thanks to France that Italy was able to achieve unity.

The turning point came with the Plombières Agreement in July 1858, a secret alliance between Napoleon III and the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Piedmont-Sardinia, Camillo Cavour. This agreement provided for a war against Austria, the dominant power in northern Italy, in exchange for the cession to France of the Duchy of Savoy and the County of Nice. The French do not. Maybe only Parisians. They're proud, but I've never heard them say they have the best food, fashion and attractions. And they agknowledge their country has problems. They even laugh at themselves and their stereotypes and say, "How dare France not be #1 most assholish". They still get the most tourists, but I never hear them rub it in people's faces.
But Italians love to boast so much and if you dare challenge it or bring up their shortcomings, they act like psychopaths. French at least agknowledge that they aren't perfect.

I work in a hotel and the French rank right up there among the absolute worst, most disgusting guests we deal with. The second their requests clash with hotel policy, out comes the 'but I'm French' entitlement, demanding exceptions. We speak English to them perfectly fine, but they keep yapping in French and act shocked when we don't instantly get it - they're by far the rudest foreign visitors we've had to handle. This French moron on this site is a textbook example of it. She never stops pushing us to praise France, she only ever talks about France and I once read a comment where she literally said she feels pity for anyone who’s not French. How the hell do people manage to be this stupid? I love France's history, but today's French? They're pretty much just a pack of idiotic ultra nationalists obsessed with boasting about their past. The only nice French folks I've ever known were actually Québécois or Belgian French-speakers.

Oh I did not know, I did not hear about it, Italian food is god but it's pretty bland in general I think, everything is pretty much the same, and the American / popular version of Italian food is usually not full Italian (like Bolognese pasta don't even exist in Italy it's been invented by Italian-American) and my sister went to Italy and she found the food in restaurant to be not good at all, the French version are usually better so I'm pretty surprised to see it considered to b better. Grreeks food is very good though (Italian and Greeks are usually considered to be better for the health).

Whenever someone complains about it, Italians throw a hissy fit. But I hear a lot of people who complain about it. The ones who DO love it, I don't know what they see in it. It's even in UNESCO apparantly. They're pizzas are so bad, and the other stuff, a child could make.

I didn't find it good either, except in Venice and the pork from the market. And the gelatto wasn't bad.

I did actually. We have similar dishes in Poland. I don't know if my mom got the recipe exact, but it was more or less the same.

Every person I know who have been to Italy have been disappointed in the food (my father though when he went said he loved the food but he went more than 20 years ago so it surely tasted different at the time or maybe he was more lucky when choosing the restaurant), my school went to Italy one time and they ate Tiramisu it was a frozen one and they all got sick from it, it was crazy. I did not go becuase it was too expensive well it was not a bad idea to not go XD

Yes many culture have their food in unesco but I think Italy is more know for the healthy food rather than there good food becuase the kind of Italian food people love are usually not Italian but American-Italian or International version.

In France we also have our own French pizza in bakery that are made with bread dough it's delicious and taste very different from Italian pizza, personally I love both but yes the toping of international pizza and the dough are all very different. I think all kind taste good personally but Italian cooking is usually pretty strict so they don't allow a lot of difference in their food so everything is always the same or very similar which a lot of people find boring after awhile.

It's also a very touristic country so many restaurant are just tourist trap, my father told me food is better when it's made from home I Italy rather than buying it from the restaurant.

No she went with her boyfriend and her boyfriend friend, yea it suck she did not take me she never take me anywhere she just stick with her boyfriend all the time. We planed to go together but she preferred to go with her boyfriend. She went to Susa she did not went very far stayed near the French frontera.

I noticed too that Eastern European food are similar to some French dishes, like I really love goulash and I find it similar to bourguignon too. We have many dishes that have the same samples food.

I think it been two years they're together but they have a lot of up and down, they don't really get along all the time sometime they do and sometime they don't, it's pretty crazy, this winter she even called us to stay with her a bit and then her boyfriend went home and she asked us to stay while they were arguing in front of us it was very uncomfortable and weird like situation.

It depend on the day we don't always get along it depend, sometime we do sometime we don't, we mostly get along when she don't have a boyfriend and she's single if not she don't really talk to us (her family in general) she prefer staying with her boyfriend family.
Most French food are not spicy except the food from our island.
I prefer it with mushroom it taste so good I used to eat it so many time as a child

It's from Louisiana not France so it's more well know in our island than mainland France so I think it's why I did not heard about it, I don't know many things about our island when it come to food I manly know what my grandparents told me since they went there many time

Mayotte there's no much to visit it's mostly a big garbage bin there, it's really not a good place to go, very poor, dirty and there's so much immigration from the Comores that the situation is not safe for anyone. Especially not for American they would try to rob you, I think you can say the situation is like Colombia but less extreme.

In Guadeloupe people wanted 600 Euros for a private 6 hour tour. I only found 1 guy who did 8 hour for under 200. We took a taxi our last day and it cost us 200 Euros to see some ruins and 1 museum.
