What would you do if the Draft (US ONLY) were expanded to women, and women age 18 to 26 were forced to sign up the same as men?

Just curious. What would you do.

Say a case came to the supreme court that determined, rightfully so, that the draft was sexist, and rather than abolishing it, they expanded it to all people ages 18 to 26. Failure to sign up for the draft results in the same consequences that men get. A felony charge, blocked access to financial aid, and federal assistance, and the loss of the right to vote in federal elections. as well as the loss of the right to own guns.

"If required to register, failure to register is a felony punishable by a fine of up to $250,000 and/or 5 years imprisonment. Also, a person who knowingly counsels, aids, or abets another to fail to comply with the registration requirement is subject to the same penalties."

I'd rather have a strong military. The draft for men and women not being able to vote is the only equality this country needs.

voting isn't a right. it's a privilege that comes with signing up for the draft

Id do nothing. As a vetrean id be recalled b4 the draft. 200,000 military personnel leave the us military each year, that's 1 million every 5 years and 2 million every 10 years.

If youve left the military and still have time to serve on your military contract they place you on the individual ready reserve and though you think you are out you can be recalled.

Also the U. S. military has authority under 10 U. S. Code § 688 and related regulations to recall retired service members to active duty, primarily during declared wars, national emergencies, or to fill specialized, high-demand, low-density roles. Retirees may be recalled voluntarily, or involuntarily under specific emergency circumstances. While policy often avoids recalling those over 55-60, regulations allow for involuntary recall of retirees. So potentially someone who served in the first gulf war might find themselves recalled into active service.
