Do you agree that one of the similarities between political ideologies and religion is that they both rationalize hating those with different beliefs?

People hate Republicans, Democrats, MAGA, libtards, Biden, Trump, etc. Historically, people have hated people due to religious differences too. I think it is very similar because people are hating people due to their beliefs. Examples with religion include Catholics, Jews, Muslims, Lutherans, etc. What do you think?

A major difference is religion is based on no merit, just because our god said so as given reason. Without any proof of said god nor him being here.
There is zero rationality in it, even if you believed in a certain god you have to at least admit it's faith not fact.
Meanwhile an actual ideology like let's say welfare for disabled well there is proof of disabled who need extra help to live therefore welfare to help them makes sense it's based on a factual reasoning. And someone could argue for whatever reason they disagree like that disabled hasn't ever worked though so why should they get anything?
Both debates no matter whom you agree or disagree with based on reality we can prove.

As to hate it self eh people can hate whatever. And people always hate something.

I don't think you can prove that people who are disabled deserve welfare. That is just your opinion. That is my point. It is all just beliefs. No matter how hard you try, you can't prove any political or religious beliefs.

Religious opinions are based on similar facts too though. For example, I base my belief on God on the fact that the world exists. Someone must have created the world, right? We can argue whether the existence of the world proves God, but my religious opinion is still based on the fact that the world exists. I also base my Christian faith on the fact that the Bible says people saw Jesus rise from the dead on the third day. Again, we can argue whether these people were telling the truth, but I am still basing my religious opinion on a fact. If you want to argue that the Bible doesn't say that Jesus rose from the dead on the third day... then go read the Bible.

I am comparing fact to fact. It is a fact that ICE killed a man last week. Based on that fact, I have the political opinion that ICE should be disbanded. Whether you agree with my opinion is besides the point. It is also a fact that the Bible says Jesus rose from the dead on the third day. Based on that fact, I am a Christian. Again, whether you agree with that opinion is besides the point. The point is, political and religious opinions are based on facts, such as a disabled person needs assistance to live. Whether you agree with Christian or any political beliefs is irrelevant. The point is, they are all based on certain facts.

Except the fact it's wrote in the bible does not make it truth of what happened. The fact someone is disabled is true and can be medically proven. That be the difference.
So unless you are going to prove right now jesus did that with a certainty equal on par to a disabled dude a doctor who can show you how and why it holds no merit and never will.

100% true. Religion and politics are both used by con-artists, governments, and people in power to manipulate ignorant people to gain more wealth, power, and control.
That manipulation is never for the benefit of those being manipulated even though they are conned into thinking it is.

I think that used to be true, but over the last couple of hundred years as religion has waned, it has been political beliefs that have caused wars. Look at the Civil War (Republicans vs. Democrats), WWII, Vietnam and Korea. Those were all wars about different political beliefs. Heck, the Revolutionary War wasn't about religion. Another similarity between political beliefs and religious beliefs is that they lead to lots of wars.
