What can you do with kids nowadays about them not having respect for adult authority?

On a society level we need to stop the epidemic of single parents. If its a single parent its you vs the kid, who wins? Well... the most stubborn one I guess. If its two parents then its two vs one and the kid has to concede more often or is in big trouble otherwise.

You got to actually raise kids, they don't know any better until they do.

I had one good parent and one bad. If the single parent were the former, my childhood would have been better. If the single parent were the latter, my childhood would have ended in catastrophic collapse. The quality of parenting matters more than their number.

Because kids do stupid stuff and don’t think about the consequences.

Pause to praise them for their development of personal judgment, self-determination and confidence. Then get back to the day-in, day-out of parenting.

There have always been disrespectful kids as there has always been terrible parents. Respect is earned not just given based on age.
