4 moThat’s not true. Tactical teams are always masked. If the agents trying to enforce immigration laws in this country weren’t under constant threat of attack by radicals, then they wouldn’t need to be masked.
Go back to a year ago and look at all the “controversial” videos of ICE agents rounding up illegal immigrants at a courthouse where activist “judge” Hannah Dugan aided and abetted the escape of a known illegal immigrant with a criminal record. Literally EVERY agent’s face is uncovered and clearly visible to the people and cameras in that building.
Then activists and politicians started calling for those agents and their families to be murdered for doing their jobs. They have every right and responsibility to protect themselves under those circumstances. Community police can too if people are calling for their heads and those of their families. It’s just much rarer in community policing. What we usually see there is patrol cars rarely, if ever, going to areas where the factions intent on their murder are found. We call them “no go zones”, and yes they are in nearly every state in the US. As soon as those factions try to expand, or organize to be a larger threat, you will see more police wearing tactical gear and masks to protect their identities.
This is, by the way, also elegant proof that ours is NOT the fascist police state that the radical left wants us to believe it is. Fascists would go in fully military and wipe out those factions, their families and everyone who ever supported them. Instead we live with the threat of violence in our daily lives so that the uber privileged who have never experienced violence can feel safer from the police who are there to protect them and their ivory towers.10 Reply

Anonymous(30-35)4 moNow I’m very curious to know if non-sanctuary cities have ice agents wearing masks. The masks probably aren’t needed in a non-sanctuary setting.

AskICE agents sometimes wear masks to protect their identities due to the nature of their work, which can involve dangerous situations and threats to personal safety. This practice is sometimes necessary to ensure their security, especially during undercover operations. However, like other law enforcement agencies, there are rules and guidelines they must follow, and they are typically required to provide identification when legally appropriate.

1.3K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. @bklynbadboy12 My next door neighbor is a Newport Beach police officer. He now lives in Huntington Beach and never identifies himself to anyone, only to ME when I was in the Station 18 Police Academy. He does not want some asshole that he arrested, find where he lives and set his house on fire, or rape his wife for retaliation. Same reason ICE agents wear masks so some moron does not try to find his home and kill his wife after raping her or killing his child! Does that sound like a good idea?

I know that my sister is a new york city homicide detective I get that. But ICE agents are untrained and unprofessional

4 moBecause every other law enforcement entity doesn't set out to commit crimes and murder US citizens. ICE has been transformed into a group of NAZI thugs under the tRump administration and Stephen Miller. They have hired untrained ex military White Supremacist thugs by the hundreds and set them loose in our cities. These are the damaged assholes the military rejected and expelled "for the good of the Army". ICE isn't law enforcement. ICE is the gestapo arm of an illegitimate fascist dictatorship.

4 moWhy does it matter to you?
It's mostly because there's OBVIOUSLY LOADS of psychotic nut cases running loose that are trying to harm them and/or their families and residencies ONLY because THEY'RE DOING THEIR FUCKING JOB!!!
How would YOU like it if crowds of people went to where YOU work and threw bottles of piss on you, pelted you with rocks, harassed the hell out of you and kept YOU from doing YOUR job all day and then threatened to find out where you live and harassed your family and defaced your home, ALL because you were trying to do YOUR job? Sounds like a LOT of fun, doesn't it!!
Why is it okay for protesters to wear masks but NOT for the cops?10 Reply Because you are a random bystander. Its none of your business. All the needed paperwork will be gone over with the perp and their lawyer. Stay out of an active investigation amd you won't be beat, tazzed, peper sprayed, shot in the face with a beanbag, or shot in the face.
10 ReplyThe recent Don Lemon thing where he doxed agents and followed them to s church where their family was is why. The fear is like in Mexico the cartels could follow then and kill them that's why Mexican police and federal agents wear masks.
10 Reply11.4K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Because ICE agents do so many illegal things that if they were properly identified, they would soon be harassed, and rightfully so. People would complain about them personally, and rightfully so. The end result might be that nobody wanted to be an ICE agent and that would probably be a good thing.
