Why do people call Trump a dictator or a Narcissist?

Ok this I really can not figure out. Maybe because I have lived with a few Narcissist one being my Ex. A few things Trump is, is: 1. Extreme (he dose not take the proper steps, only act fast and act hard. 2. He dose not stand for disrespectful behavior from any one (not from Canada, not from the Medea, not from anyone) he demands to respect him and the country. And this is why he made ICE people who disrespect the rules and law of immigration disrespect the country and that he dose not stand for. 3. Trump is the leader of the top world power, and that world power is being challenged by a new rising power and this is why Trump is like a bully.

Why he is not a Narcissist:
A narc has two personalitys one is private and the other is public. The private one is the control and power type. The public one is always what they want you to see and think. But Trump harsh side is his public side and that is unlike a Narcissist. Also he only treat harsh the ones who break the rules and law of the USA and disrespect the USA. As a rising power threads the USA it is most important to show no weakness within. Remember your enemies will use your weakness against you to destroy you and your country.

Is Trump then a dictator?
No he gives freedoms to all full legal citizens. No control system, no limit on what you can say, hear, see, or believe. If Trump was one he would limit what you can see and hear on the news. The fact that some tv shows mock him and dis him is a full sign he is not one. The fact he gives the freedom to protest and stand against him, is a sign he is not. The fact that he only punish people who try to go around the law or hide from it/disrespecting the countrys system is a full true sign he is no dictator, because if he was you will not be free but fully under his control, and anyone full legal citizen steps out of line or stands against him = even protest against him, will lose all freedom and even access to their own money.

Well, to meet the criteria of being a narcissist the person have to meet at least 5 of these 9 criteria:

1. Grandiose sense of self-importance.

May look like:

- Overestimating their capabilities or holding themselves to unreasonably high standards.
- Bragging or exaggerating their achievements.

Does he meet this criteria?

Definitely. He always talk about all the great thing he’s done, exaggerating what he’s accomplished, naming buildings and warships after himself.

2. Frequent fantasies about having or deserving:

Success.
Power.
Intelligence.
Beauty.
Love.
Self-fulfillment.

Does he meet this criteria?

Maybe. We can’t know about his personal private fantasies but considering he’s very much been into success, wealth and power his whole life it can be assumed he does.

3. Belief in superiority.

May look like:

- Thinking they’re special or unique.
- Believing they should associate only with those they see as worthy.

Does he meet the criteria?

Yes, he definitely thinks he’s special.

4. Need for admiration.

May look like:

- Fragile self-esteem.
- Frequent self-doubt, self-criticism or emptiness.
- Preoccupation with knowing what others think of them.
- Fishing for compliments.

Does he meet the criteria?

He doesn’t seem to care much about what other people think of him by how he says whatever seems to be on his mind, but he does have a need to be seen as strong, powerful and admirable.

5. Entitlement.

May look like:

- Inflated sense of self-worth.
- Expecting favorable treatment (to an unreasonable degree).
- Anger when people don’t cater to or appease them.

Does he meet this criteria?

Yes. If people don’t agree and do as he wants he flips out. One recent example is he thinks he deserved the nobel peace prize and because he didn’t get it he threatened to invade Greenland. He threatens and punish other countries with tariffs over things like defending Denmark/Greenland and not letting him go on with his plan to steal the land.

6. Willingness to exploit others.

- Consciously or unconsciously using others.
- Forming friendships or relationships with people who boost their self-esteem or status.
- Deliberately taking advantage of others for selfish reasons.

Does he meet this criteria?

Maybe. He’s certainly exploiting other countries for resources.

7. Lack of empathy.

It may look like:

- Saying things that might hurt others.
- Seeing the feelings, needs or desires of others as a sign of weakness.
- Not returning kindness or interest that others show.

Does he meet this criteria?

Yes. He’s known for saying mean and rude things without caring.

8. Frequent envy.

It may look like:

- Feeling envious of others, especially when others are successful.
- Expecting envy from others.
- Belittling or diminishing the achievements of others.

Does he meet this criteria?

Yes, he is expecting the world to see him and the united states as the greatest in the world. He just recently belittled and diminished what Nato allies soldiers did for the US in Afghanistan.

9. Arrogance.

May look like:

- Patronizing behavior.
- Behaving in a way that’s snobby or disdainful.
- Talking down or acting condescendingly.

Does he meet this criteria?

Yes. It’s like he’s the definition of this. He does this all the time.

I mention some examples and obviously isolated actions doesn’t mean someone has a personality disorder, but they’re just examples. There are many other examples of him doing or saying similar things meeting the criterias. Together they paint a clear picture that he does indeed seem to meet the criteria for narcissistic personality disorder. He scores above 5/9 on this criteria. Obviously only a real evalutation could conclude that he does in fact have NPD, so there’s no way we can diagnos him or say for sure, but all evidence points to it. So when people say he’s a narcissist well, he may or may not be, but it’s not at all unreasonable to assume based on his behavior and worss. At the very least he has strong narcissistic traits. In some ways he’s a textbook narcissist.

One thing to keep in mind Trump is a business man that won the title of one of the worlds most powerful position. So you can say he dose act as the title has got to his head and he is deserving of acknowledgement. Remember his background is in business not politics. Knowing that you have to look at not behavior that comes up once in a blue moon but is around on a regular basis. You can say he acts like a amateur politician who is a little extreme, yes definitely. But not the other two.

You're somewhat misinformed. Trump is egotistical. As for ICE, it was around a long time before Trump and will be around long after. Part of the freedom we Americans are given is the freedom of dissent, disagreement, and mocking. There are no rules or laws saying we have to respect people, only laws. SCOTUS rules have held this up time and again. Look at the case of Hustler Magazine, Inc. v. Falwell, a lot of disrespect there. A lot, and perfectly legal. Trump craves validation that he is as amazing as he thinks he is. So, he's not a pure narcissist, in the way that you see it. He's an egotistical narcissist. He sees himself as amazing, but his ego means he wants others to see him the same way. Trump is not a dictator, YET. However, he is using similar tactics to previous dictators as they gained power. He is also using tactics that current dictators use. His "Fake News" talk is now used by some of the worst dictators across the world when there is negative coverage of them. When the bad people are taking marching orders from you, it probably means they see you as similar.
