Interesting that you should pose this question. I was speaking to a colleague earlier today about it. It's important to remember that the legal system functions very differently for male DV victims and female DV victims and male perpetrators and female perpetrators.

Female DV victims are treated with great deference, no matter what they say or no matter how much they lie about men, or what really happened to them. Conversely, the male perpetrators of DV, whether or not they are really perpetrators or they are simply the victims of malicious lies, are treated like serial killers by our legal system. I don't think I need to go into detail about how they get treated, but you can imagine how bad it is. Female perpetrators—that is, women that are accused of hitting or injuring men—are let off at best with a pat on the head and a slightly stern: "Please don't do this again!" In most cases, when men accuse women of assaulting them, the men are not believed and are often arrested.

Male victims of domestic violence are often arrested by police or charged with all sorts of things that they didn't do and are generally abused.

So, the bottom line on it is this: If you are a female victim of DV, rest assured that you will be taken extremely seriously by all the people in your life and by the police and by the courts. If you are a male victim of DV, get as far away from the female as you can. Never be in her presence again and stay away from the police because they're probably looking for you after she lied about you. The first time a woman calls the police on you or threatens to call the police should be the last time you ever see her. The first time a woman raises her hand to you or harms you physically in any way, it should be the last time you ever see her.

Remember, in these days, women are always victims, and men are always perpetrators. The reality doesn't matter. The truth doesn't matter.
