Everyone wants to point to slavery as the single most significant reason as to why the Civil War happened.

I am skeptical of this. No, I do not believe in slavery, and despite what leftists have tried to convince everyone that it is the white person's fault, remember that slavery has existed since ancient times and the white man was the first to end it.

I believe there were more reasons behind why the Confederate States came to be, and I am highly suspicious it was due to government overreach and corruption.

There has this been this globalization push for a long time now. We saw bits of the Super Bowl half time. They are trying to push the idea of a one world order onto us. Don't be fooled!

It's absolutely clear that the Civil War was started over slavery. There was strong abolitionist sentiment in the free states, and with the new western states being admitted they feared that slavery would be outlawed nationwide. See the Missouri Compromise and the Kansas-Nebraska act.

Yes, there was more to the Confederacy than slavery: Murder, r*pe, torture and deaths from overwork and malnutrition!!! And as my mother used to tell my sisters and me, and this definitely applies to your disgusting whitewashing (you ARE white, so...) There's an old saying that, "the Victor's write the history books". So yeah, there's probably some about the Confederacy that got buried. It also makes wonder how differently people learn about the Civil War down south. My mother was from the south.

The confederate leaders wanted to break away and empower and enrich themselves. European powers wanted a divided United states for good reason.

I think that there was a lot more than slavery at the root. There were a lot of people that were sick of being part of the United States.

Yeah, it had to do with economics. Slavery was economically beneficial to the South's plantations and growers.
