Seems pretty close to me... I mean, if you think about it, we are already in a form of civil war. A 4th and 5th generational war. Propaganda, information, and economical warfare. We've also had on the ground scurmishes. Antifa v proud boys, left v right, insurgency, a guy executed a Trump supporter on the streets. The riots where Rittenhouse defended himself, the looting that killed David Dorn. If you think about it, we are in a civil war. Things are happening almost every day. It's just a matter of, do you consider this a civil war or just everyday life?

I believe we are about as divided as pre-Civil War. If another one breaks out, it will be because Democrats will overstep. They are the party that loves to attack the Constitutional rights we have in the name of "security". That was Hitler's promise. Look how that went. Only difference is Hitler successfully disarmed his opponents within Germany before showing his true colors. Half of America is not that stupid. The next Civil War will be over gun rights and the nature of the Constitution itself.

The US is currently politically divided for a number of reasons
1. The Republic/Conservative vs Democrat/Liberal political options promotes this divide, no centerist 3rd option for people who are not left or right wing. The missing middle third.
2. Well financed lobbying groups supported by left wing and right wing people are forcing things on a Nation, despite a sizable portion of the Country bring against it. This isolates people and the become disillusioned.
3. A general failure to listen to people's concerns, I mean really listen and try to work a compromise. Alienating 49% of the population may fall under the "Majority rules" mantra, but its divisive and is bad for the US.
US politicians are to blame (both sides), elected by the people, yet campaigns are funded by Corporate or Social lobby groups or fundraisers, and ultimately the politicians serve the hand that finances them.In the 21st century, the human brain has been usurped by digital technology. I see it in younger folks all over. Every thought is a binary choice. There is no context. No measure of relative value. Everything is, yes/no, love/hate, on/off. Best day ever or worst day ever. The human mind was not meant to function like an on/off switch. Our brains have billions of complex connections and digital technology has corrupted out thought process. Maybe that is why Mental Illness is surging. We have reverted back into tribalism and it is not positive process for society. But it allows the political overseer class to better control the masses.
I`m not U. S. citizen, but it looks like you really divided into leftists and right-wingers. And you also pay too much attention to race. So, in Eastern Europe we have memes like that -
Europeans - Maths is difficult
Asians - Maths is easy
Americans - Is Math rasism?Thee are a lot more people and a lot more wealth. It intensifies the division. The main cause of the Civil War was slavery. Today it is a division of people who work for a living vs. people on some form of welfare.
I dunno.
But I do know this. The Civil War is still unresolved. And we need to figure out a way to a conversation that allows for us to get some closure.Probably more divided thanks to the Internet. It really is 5050 America needs to be divided up before the Civil War breaks out.
The civil war was mainly about slavery. What is your reason for a current civil war?
Hell if I know. That was well over a hundred years before I was born! I'd say equal just to answer the question.
How is it divided when it's all white and conservative?
We won't. Everyone is too self absorbed to bother.
Lmfao definitely not
