My Take: The only people in the US who claim to have enjoyed bad bunny were leftist democrats who already were prepared to enjoy it because they knew those who support Making America (USA) Great Again planned to have their own halftime show. Now they’re taking the viewing numbers from those who were in it for watching the game as a win against MAGA, claiming they somehow united people under love and togetherness, while giving them ammo to mock and ridicule anyone who didn’t like bad bunny.

I dont see any unity promoted by an entirely foreign languaged show. if anything that , to me seems the very antithesis of unity. I dont feel we were wronged by it necessarily, in 60 years maybe the Hispanic speaking citizens deserve a show in their language. Since when is the halftime show about unity or division? The super bowl does that whether or not the show is good or not.

Super Bowl is about masculinity in the love of football, where guys get together to drink beer with the boys and eat chips, possibly incredibly deep fried foods too, cheering on your team and being there for them.

You can make a statement that rock bands at The Superbowl is the only thing missing, every halftime show is mediocre then. Metallica or something is so masculine and awesome, yet never on stage. Literally a pop icon, nothing much of substance however that can be said for every superbowl.

I watched Bad Bunny’s halftime show, looked at the hard work and dedication that went into such a production, the symbolism, the lyrics, etc. and more effort, excitement, love, passion went into that. Really impressive if you remove the triggered voices.

How can you promote unity doing a show for Latinos in Spanish? When I searched NFL viewership by race white people make up 77% of the NFL fan base. The people in charge of this decision clearly went out of their way to put on a show that their fan base would not like and succeeded. “ we’re gonna spread unity by making all these white people listen to a bunch of Latino music in Spanish?” I can’t understand why have the decision makers in the NFL still have a job. Not catering to your fan base is a great way to fuck up a brand and it seems like they’re working over time to do this as quickly as possible.
