Why is the right wing so in favor of war and the death penalty and other forms of violence?

Ask any question on here or elsewhere about the appropriateness of the death penalty, and you'll have right-wingers lining up to endorse it. Ask them if they enjoy war, and they will tell you that they do. What is it with these people? What's wrong with them?

Science has proven that the conservative brain and liberal leaning brain operate with some differences that explain this and other behaviors. The studies are very specific in each case, so to fully understand it's best to research them. A quick but overly general summation is that the conservative mind operates more out of the amygdala, the region that controls fear and how threats are interpreted. Liberals tend to have increased activity in the anterior cingulate cortex, a brain region associated with emotional awareness, decision-making, and processing conflicting information. This area is believed to play a role in their comfort with uncertainty and complexity.

Lately, the conservative trend has been to deny any science that doesn't fit their narrative and gaslight it as "fake news". This really isn't surprising when you consider it in the overall context of their agenda.

They are also busy patting themselves on the back right now in states like Florida, for condemning the use of glyphosates in on crops. Forget that liberals have been telling them this for decades since it was introduced in 1974. I believe this is because DeSantis is up for re-election in 2026 and somehow wants to appear to care about people's health, all of a sudden.

These are the same people who still claim Agent Orange had zero effect on the DNA or nervous systems of soldiers in Vietnam who were doused with it while in the forests. Science went on to prove that even a single exposure could do irreparable harm.

@Levin I didn't use science to do anything. I am merely reporting findings from scientific studies. In this case, it offers an explanation of observed behaviors by a specific study group. I didn't ask science to come up with scenario that fit a certain narrative.

If you don't like the information, deal with it as you wish. If you disagree with the science, take it up with them. If you disagree with what science had to say about Covid, present your case to scientists.

To be clear, my enemies are not perceived, they are real. We may have some similar interests in long term goals, but the means to attain them is what separates us to the extreme. What you frame as my perception is their observable behavior and the outcomes it produces and/or desires to produce. Knowing that, they are indeed my enemies.

All of the best dividend paying stocks are industries involved in making weapons for war or energy. If a man violently raped you or someone you loved, would you rather pay or make your loved one pay to keep that person alive for years, or for life? Or would you rather the state simply end him right away?

Keeping a person alive for a year in the USA, is on average $61,000. Per person, per year, on average. Lethal injection drugs are about $100. A bullet is usually around a quarter.
