I recently posted a negative question about Gen Z, but I must now admit that I may have been completely wrong. According to the Wall Street Journal, young people are doing the same thing I found myself having to do: investing in the market, to make enough money to purchase their first homes. The more things change, the more they stay the same…lol

No. Largely nonsense. Its Largely like onlyfans, yes you can make money at it but the majority won't. Its like gambling, they get all the young people pouring every dime they make into by stocks, shares and bitcoin basically doing the work for free and they get their capital from young peoples money which they can risk on shady trades.

Wrong. Anyone who simply puts their money in an S&P 500 index etf and waits will have a substantial amount of money 5-10 years later. I’ll say it again: absolutely no one has ever lost money doing this over the past century.

If they are buying stocks directly instead of buying mutual funds, I hope they realize how dangerous the stock market is. For most people it's pure gambling, not investing. Once they lose thousands of dollars a few times they'll get out.

Of course it's possible. It's just dangerous for people who don't know their way around the stock market. Heck, it's dangerous for everyone else also. Mutual funds diversify. Individuals rarely diversify unless they have quite a bit of mopey to invest. I also remember when Apple damn near went bankrupt and people lost a shitload of money in their stock.

Every generation thinks they have it worse than anyone else. I said the same thing when I was younger. I didn’t even go to college, and I still did well. I had to work harder, but all that did, besides set me up for success, was to ensure I’d be healthier later in life.
