100% true. Not that I, as a man, care about flowers, but even if You generalize this into "a relevant token of appreciation", the point still stands. There was that one post by a man that Shoe0nHead brought up in one of Her videos - "The only reason I have not killed myself is because I do not want to make any women happy" - and while I do have a few other reasons for staying alive, I 100% understand the sentiment.
