This was something alluded to (yet unexpected by female readers) in Naomi Alderman's masterpiece "The Power" in which the gender dynamic changes as women (teen females and older) become the more powerful gender due to a new ability to deliver electric shocks (which can be lethal) from their hands; something males cannot do. This novel changed my life.
