Being "forced to work" is not an essential aspect of a concentration camp, although they do have to work to afford to buy things, and "have already been ordered deported by an immigration judge and/or have failed to show up for their day in immigration court" is certainly not true of everyone in them.

I would think withholding medical assistance from critically ill detainees to force them to sign away their rights is against the law, too. As is having 60 to a room with the lights on 24/7.

That is not always true, even though you keep saying it. That doesn't make it exactly correct. 1. First of all, people that are charged with crimes are generally held in jail, not prisons.
2. Secondly, there is such a thing as bail. People who can come up with enough money can get released after having temporarily forfeited that money to the government.

We already told you why jails and prisons are not concentration camps, everybody in them has gone through the appropriate due process of law, they are not kept 60 to a room, they aren't denied medical assistance in order to force them to sign away their rights, they aren't kept longer than the law allows, and with the exception of jails and a very limited period (72 hrs in most states), you're not there on the say-so of a LEO.

Yes, the people in a detention facilirty are only there a few days before they are deported. People in concentration camps rarely make it out.

The people who died in them aren't there for "a few days", and there's even evidence that they "release" people who are seriously ill before they die so they don't have to count them. Then there's the blind man they left in the freezing cold five miles from home who, predictably, died.

They are also there for political reasons. No other administration would lock up people who voluntarily arrived at their immigration hearings. No other administration would lock up people who committed no crimes. No other administration would break the law like this one does.

The law doesn't allow children to be held in detention for more than 20 days.
