Keep in mind that uranium is a naturally occurring mineral that is not specifically owned by anyone until they mine it and process it. The United States has no more right to forbid Iran from enriching uranium than Iran does to forbid the United States from enriching it. Yet somehow the United States thinks it has this right.

All of these issues, imho Russia/Ukraine, comes down to security. Ask yourself if your neighbor as an inalienable right to build bombs and firearms after they have continually threatened you with death, their kids march around the yard shouting "death to msc and all his kind", you see videos of their kids playing with AK-47's... and lastly, there's strong evidence their friends invaded another aprt complex and slaughtere da bunch of people. But realize, there's not much evidence tiying to them but suspect.

that's the problem... noone is secure. Now consider they do have a bunch of missiles are getting to where they could launch long range missiles AND they enrich enough to get weapons grade Uranium. In other words, they could threaten with a nuclear bomb installed on missiles.

That's the problem. The talk is the problem but deeper than that, the heart.

To be fair, it's kinda a problem on the other side as well, but seems worse from the extreme Iranian leadership. Granted, they may have their reasons to hate the other side. There is a lot of history.

So no, they don't and no administration I know of has said they do because of favoring Israel survival.

Keep in mind we gave them a nuclear reactor long time ago... we were very nice. It doesn't work for long around there.

All the logic you just discussed could be applied to the United States just as easily by them. And yeah, I should tell you, there are nuclear reactors, and then there are nuclear reactors. The reactor is not the issue. It's what goes or doesn't go in the reactor that is the issue.

Power has always been about whomever has the power. If Hitler won after getting the bomb, we'd be having different discussions if we were still alive. Ultimately, the USA is probably the higher standard than Iran, but you decide.
I don't recall USA saying "Death to Iran", but more the leaders that have caused globaly mahem for decades, for their reasons. They maintain power by hanging, shooting and beheading and possibly in cases tossing people off buildings... by the 10's of thousands. I don't think we have been quite as bad and in general, we prefer our western values and freedom to their religious zealot old world rules.

So you can pick and choose your side or none, but that's what it is. There is a fog to conflict and war.

If Iran can have, then anyone with the smarts can have their own. And that will eventually go bad. It's too much power, especially when such people have a history of being willing to kamazi themselves for their spiritual purpose. See any truth in that?

They have a right to enrich uranium and make nukes to gain statehood.

They are treated as a world superpower, nobody will go to all out war with them, and it gets US/Israel out of their affairs forever.

When you think about it, US ended Iran Nuclear Deal to keep peace and US Israel keeps attacking them unprovoked. Absolutely they deserve representation on the world stage.

The only way to get that representation is with nukes. They won’t use it, everyone knows once you have a nuke you never use it except for fear to instill peace and to get greater representation than other peasant nations that don’t matter.

I'm not entirely sure that building nuclear weapons gets them statehood, but you may be very Right about this.

But you also alluded to and I totally agree with is the fact that it gets Israel and the US the hell out of there their affairs for good. Neither Israel nor the US is going to overtly interfere with a country that has nuclear weapons in history proves that. The possession of nuclear weapons or at least the impression that one possesses nuclear weapons is almost surefire insurance against interference by most countries and most assuredly by the US and Israel.

We don’t even send troops to fight Russia today (Ukraine).
And it is indeed insurance against interference from Big Global Powers. You just don’t dare poke the bear.
That is what I meant by statehood, you have the people most aggressive towards your existence being cut out of the equation and forced to deal with you as a world power by default. Nukes are a cheat code in that sense.

I think we may have found the secret beauty of nuclear weapons. If there is in fact such a thing. They bring peace to a certain extent and for that alone I think they are worth the inherent threat that they represent. Who knew that the way to peace lie through an instrument of such horrendous violence.

For nuclear power, yes, but not for nuclear weapons.

Uranium requires much more processing and purification for use in nuclear weapons than for nuclear power. There is evidence that Iran's enrichment facilities are built to process Uranium into weapon grade, and that is a threat to all.

It's not well-publicized, but the US and other countries (ex: France) have provided assistance to Iran over the years to help it develop a nuclear power industry. But Iran took that help and extended it to try to make nuclear weapons, and that's where the problem is.

It's maybe a little better publicized, but the US and other countries have centrifuges that are specifically designed to enrich uranium to what you have stated are bomb-grade levels. What do you think we should do about that?

iran has the right. i don't think they'd even nuke israel if they could. they'd still do little attacks the same way israel doesn't nuke them. israel could nuke the entire area and we could go in 15 years no problem and have fresh oil and no arabs. but that hasn't happened. probably because the other countries don't want it to and have agreements. but i can still see israel having that as their last defense.
