Why is there beef between Mexicans and Central Americans?

Lets all get along. I am Latino but not Mexican or Central American. Enough with beef just cause of race, nationality, religion, skin color, etc.

I live in Southern California and have worked in a couple of kitchens. Most people in the kitchen are dudes from Mexico and the Central Americans are always the odd man out with them. There the have been a couple of South Americans, but the Mexicans and Central Americans talk way more shit to each other. Massive amounts of shit talking. It's like a rivalry or something.
