Why do some on the left claim buying a gun is easier than voting?

Even with voter ID (which 76% of Americans want) passed, it's still harder to get a gun than it is to vote. In order to own a gun you need ID, and you have to pass a background check provided by an ATF certified FFL, wait 3 days to a week to get your gun and so on. If we made it as hard to vote as we did getting a gun, no one would fucking vote, source, I'm a goddamn gun owner, and have been through the process multiple times.

You can't even go to a librarry and check out a book unless you have some ID so the whole thing about having to show ID to vote is pretty standard stuff considering the fact start filing today of how important it is to make sure your vote counts! So to argue otherwise doesn't hold weight unless your clearly about having people who aren't US citizens above to participate and scee the voting system. So proving your wgi you are is SOP to me AKA / standard operating procedure ,, voting is a responsibility and a privilege just like driving a car so need I say or make more comparisons. The ONLY time its required is if you are carrying it under clothing or in your jacket where people can't see it.
