Truck drivers get our consumer products on the shelves, if there is limited supply coming in there will be a price increase plus a shortage on the things that get you through the day to day. More truckers are good, less truckers are bad.

I want to make it clear, the tariffs were a complete economic disaster for consumers because products are brought in through a shipping company. That shipping company has costs to pay so, will charge companies (American and non American) to bring in product from another country or foreign land domestically into the US. In doing the tariffs on imports not exports it costs that shipping company more money so, they’ll levy their own tax onto companies wanting their products shipped into The US only for companies to then tax onto consumers in the form of inflation.
You pay more due to Trump’s tariffs, we knew this going in and we know this currently.
Trump is still implementing them after courts including SCOTUS told him to stop.

Not only will grocery prices continue to climb, they began under the same failed policy of this administration nutjob.
You pay more for less in some cases due to consumers not liking the price being messed with, so they shrink the consumer goods and cut corners for a more efficient product however lacking the quality it once had.

I'm all for tracking down gang members, drug dealers, traffickers, criminals and free loaders, but I think he is going way overboard on the immigrant thing. Many immigrants are hard working and beneficial to this country even if they did come in illegally. That has been the case for the past 100 years since the passing of the Immigration Act of 1924.

Regarding trucks, I don't think illegal aliens should be allowed to get licensed for commercial driving. And everyone who does get licensed should speak English and pass stringent classes.

The truckers issue is nothing to do with race or immigration. But Trump gets round his fuckups by hiding behind one or both.

To get a truck licence and insurance you can't be an illegal - end of. Anyone saying different is just bullshiting. To get round this, Trump tried to introduce other measures like "reading proficiency tests". Not realising a lot of White American truckers are practically illiterate.

So the big drop in truckers is mainly due to Trump incompetence.

trucking companies... did NOT employ around 450k PROPERLY CERTIFIED/LICENSED drivers, perhaps more than that... in order to employ way cheaper drivers

most of those 450k properly certified/verified/licensed/experienced drivers are immigrants too, and just waiting to get a fair pay so on that regard... it SHOULD NOT be an issue

Well, it certainly seems to all be about skin because it isn't about crime, given the fact that immigrants have much lower crime rates than white people. He has a long and bad history with black people, brown people, any color that isn't white, so I have to kind of believe it has something to do with the color of people's skin. This goes all the way back to the days when he and his father got busted for not renting rooms to black people. Hotel rooms to black people in New York City and apartments to black people in New York City. Funny how it was only the black people and not ever the white people they got in trouble for.
