This is Massachusetts senator Ed Markey. He is famous for co-sponsoring the Green New Deal biil with AOC and then he was to cowardly to actually vote for the bill. He was seen mouthing off on Boston Common today complaining that President Trump is really a king. Markey has served in congress for more than 50 years. His job before that was driving an ICE Cream truck. There have not been many kings that have ruled for 50 years. No dictators either.

There are good things proposed in the bill. Some of it not so much. Some parts of the bill can be pushed by the government or it can happen through the free market. It doesn't really matter which route is taken, it will happen sooner or later anyway.

I do have problems with unions. Their strength is their weakness and it is too close to communism for my taste. All for one and one for all gives them good bargaining power, but it comes at the expense of the individual disincentivizing exceptionalism. And on the other side of it, bitch cunt owners will use this rhetoric and talking points to cowardly hide their true intention of not wanting to pay them more.

I hate unions. But I also hate greedy corporations who are too cowardly to negotiate with workers on a level plain. I'm a supporter of free and regulated market that's balanced so as to promote healthy, long term competition to bring the highest quality and cost effective goods and services to consumers. I find a lot of the rich aren't worth as much as they think they are and union workers don't have a good of work ethics as they think they do, and vice versa.
