The smart play would be to assume that is still true, and that in the first two weeks of April Iran will be hit so hard that they won't be able to get up again if they don't make a deal, but the day and the time will not be known. Trump doesn't know how long it would take. Neither does any other world leader for this kind of thing. They go by what the generals say, and the generals don't know either. They have a lot better idea than the president, but they know that war is highly unpredictable. They don't know how the leadership of Iran will react. They don't know how the people will react in regards to overthrowing the regime. The entire world was surprised at some of the capabilities that Iran had. Iran apparently did a damn good job of hiding it's capabilities.

What everyone did know going in is that Iran had a strong military. If Iran did not capitulate and they decided to fight, it would not be over in anywhere near a month. You can't even do a decent buildup of strength in that time.
