Guess what AI wanted to make this question: "Why do people like Donald Trump and support him so strongly?"
If you don't know this then you shouldn't spend all your time talking politics because politics ain't for you if you haven't understood a single reason why anyone voted for him, least of all twice.
And if you don't understand the opposition to your argument, you might as well be talking to a brick wall? You aren't understanding anything so what's the point?
Understanding both sides is a need for a debate?
Do you like him because he said he wouldn't take the US into any new wars?
Do you like him because he said he wouldn't touch Medicare and Medicaid?
Do you like him because he said he'd deport criminals and the "worst of the worst"?
Did you like him because you knew he was lying about that? That Project 2025 was absolutely his plan. That he wanted 100 million people (roughly the number of non-whites) out of the USA?
It's the brown immigrant people, isn't it?
This seems to be the "trick" of the day. Call people pointing out racism racist.
Tell me. Prove it's not the brown immigrant people. Why do you like Trump?
Is it because he promised to drain the swamp and went on to sell pardons, give millions to people convicted of crimes, and so on?
And since I accused you of being right @Kaneki05, that means either @goaded thinks I’m right about you being right or he thinks I’m a leftist, as he started his answer to this question Do you agree that "every accusation is a confession"? ↗ with "Only if it's preceded by "From the right/Trump".
@IamRight right as in right winged or right? Lol
Cause I am not right winged at all, but that's the funny part he'll think I am by me trying to explain you have to understand both sides in an argument.
He probably also got into his head I said something me liking trump... When that wasn't my point at all. Hence why he descended into this whole 'do you like him' followed by some dumb example.
It's honestly worrying one can talk about politics all the time but doesn't understand. Understanding why is not the same as agreeing but he seems to think both are the same from the way he replied smh
@IamRight Telling somebody they're right isn't accusing them of anything.
@Kaneki05 Aren't you a Reform supporter? Their logo is literally an arrow pointing to the right. They think that building regulations brought in to avoid a repeat of a horrific fire that killed over 70 people, are too onerous and should be rescinded. They're anti-immigrant and their leader used to go around saying "gas the Jews".
@goaded Nope. I'm a socialist who supports Marx views and anything that would progress that.
And how you got that from what I said is beyond me, because let say for a moment even if that was true it has nothing to do with trump?
Unless you think Reform = trump Supporter somehow? Ya know you could both be for Reform and Opposed trump?
You really need to open your perspective of views and nuance of opinions.
Not everything is so black and white, if your not understanding that in politics nor understanding the view of someone else you might as well not debate at all.
Since again my point was and only was that, understanding is a principal of a debate.
"Ya know you could both be for Reform and Opposed trump" It's possible, but I think it would be rare.
You're accusing me of "not understanding" and needing a wider "perspective of views and nuance of opinions", but I do understand, and I do see many views, it's just that I don't agree with a large number of them, particularly the ones based on propaganda.
Do you think you would have been saying the same things about Oswald Mosley's lot back in the 1930s?
The fact you bring up lots of nonsense points and don't stick to the topic shows you really don't.
Nvm just this question in it self, how after all these years do you not understand why anyone likes trump?
Either it's dishonest, you do understand but preaching a bias. Or you actually don't which then is how?
I do understand how some people like Trump, what I'm after is for them to articulate their reasons.
Essentially, I wonder why anyone still likes him.
If their reason for liking him was based on any of these lies, why do they still like him? I mean, what's left?
He said he wouldn't take the US into any new wars.
He said he wouldn't touch Medicare and Medicaid.
He said he'd deport criminals and the "worst of the worst".
He said inflation would go away on day one.
He said the Ukraine war would go away on day one.
He said he'd replace the ACA with something everyone, even poor people, could afford.
Literally the only things left I can think of are deporting immigrants even if they haven't done anything wrong, using the DoJ to attack Trump's enemies, and maybe not spending money to keep foreigners alive, even if that pays massive soft power dividends.
If I've missed something obvious, and I admit I mistakenly took your opinion as being pro-Trump, what is it?
Well thanks for admitting that, just a little list I can think of,
1st Major reason he's not woke, many will like him just based on that alone.
2nd Support the strike on Iran.
3rd Deporting illegals.
4th Keeping Men Out of Women's Sports.
5th Change to mail-in voting and ID for voting.
Pretty much just go look at any his executive orders, that's a long list there why he still has those who like him. Cause the people who do agree with such things.
But besides those reasons, everyone has their own personal reasons so you'd have to ask them personally and try not to attack them to actually understand why.
You'll never understand anything if you just attack them.
And yup he's said a lot of shit he hasn't done, so did biden.. so did every president I can think of yet they have their fans too cause reasons.
You can disagree with the reasons but it's important to actually understand the said reasons.
1. What does "not woke" mean? Ignoring systemic racism, perhaps?
2. OK, that's not what they voted for, he claimed wars in the Middle East were bad and he wouldn't do them.
3. Again, he's deporting people who came to the country legally and did everything right. Punishing even green card holders.
4. All 8 of them? Riley Gaines initially respected the woman who drew with her, until she could make money being a victim. www.comicsands.com/trans-silenced-riley-gaines
5. The federal government doesn't have much of a say in US elections, they're run by the states. Remember how Republicans used to be for states' rights? Multiple states have 100% mail-in voting.
The idea that I can't attack people who believe that everyone who votes Democratic is evil and anti-American is ridiculous. They deserve the "more speech" I bring.
Here's today's shit from Trump:
files.mastodon.online/.../6e29b7ac43d2ae30.jpeg
I simply told you why they do like him, with also many more etc reasons if you just look at executive orders he made.
If you disagree, cool but you aren't going to change the fact that's the reasons they like him, and the fact they do like him... proves my point.
Otherwise according to you they'd all change their minds right? If there is no reason to like him?
Obviously there is many reasons to do so, you just disagree.
But this is not about agreeing, disagreeing, this is about understanding.
If you can't understand then you are arguing with an opposition you don't understand... you are debating without understanding...
Which means you may as well not at all.
I understand. It's hate and bigotry all the way down. The extremist 29% won't ever change their minds, but voters in general are. I want the ones who won't to express what they really believe, how they don't care about laws or other people.
" Roughly two-thirds of Americans say Trump’s policies have worsened economic conditions in the US, up 10 points since January. Just 27% say they approve of Trump’s handling of inflation, down from 44% one year ago. "
" Trump’s overall approval rating has held relatively steady at 35%, one point off his all-time low in CNN polling. There’s been notable erosion, however, in his standing with his own partisans. The share of Republicans who strongly approve of his job performance has dropped to 43%, from 52% in January. "
" Trump and the Republicans in Congress shoulder more of the blame than their opponents across the aisle for the ongoing partial shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security, with 39% saying the GOP deserves the bulk of the blame, 25% that Democrats in Congress do, and 28% that both groups share equal blame. No one likes donald trump. donald trump doesn't even like donald trump. It may be seem paradoxal but there lies the source of his extreme and psychotic type of narcissism.
Trump closed the border.
Biden opened the border.
Trump closed the border.
Kamala wanted to open the border.
AOC will open the border and blame Trump for it.
Get it?
Who’s quoting Trump?
I am. I’m getting it from Democrats like Biden and Eric Adams. Was Adams lying when he asked for 12 billion to help house and feed the illegals your cult leader let in the country.
OMFG! Are you suggesting that Kamala was all about secure borders? She couldn’t even find the border.
Why would you need a link about that? She said several times that anyone crosses the border should get free medical and free college.
Do you deny that DEI hire Karine Jean-Pierre said that no president in history has done more to secure the border than Joe Biden? 😂
Which claim? Do you mean the one where Joe Biden has done more for the border than any other president?
10,000 illegals were crossing a day under Biden. You can pretend that didn’t happen if you want to.
Biden changed Trump‘s wait in Mexico policy and he did it on his first day in office.
Maybe you don’t like my terminology.
So I’m going to change it just for you. Biden didn’t open the border. He just let 10,000 people cross a day. Biden had the border completely closed except for 10,000 people per day.
How’s that?

He gave them permission to be racist. Maybe it was bottled up so tight any populist in 2015 woulda done it. Funny it was thrice married business failure.
Us MAGA folks are very racist! That’s why we push for ID. We know that black folks won’t be able to vote or buy malt liquor if they have to get ID.
Bullshit! You don’t want any illegals deported. You hate America.
@strawberryapple honestly I'm looking at cost/benefit analysis. Illegal migrants: cost $100 billion spent on Operation Brown Skin Out. Not worth it. As each of those people work for a living, dont cost us a cent because theyre illegals.
Now welfare red states queens... my calculator exploded.
You can sell your dignity if you want to.
They like him because he is dumber than them with much of the same bigotry
Im convinced we got paid magas here at this point
Trump buttresses his followers' worst instincts !!!
I'm not sure anyone actually likes Donald Trump.
Even his family barely tolerates him.
