Why do many DEI initiatives show mixed results: bad rollout or bad messaging?

It goes against merit based logic... where normally you'd pick the best person for the job.

Instead, you have to say no to that person because they're not black, woman, or gay/trans enough.

Then they wonder why they end up with shit workers, or workers that come up with shit products.

True equity could be reached if they hit the books instead of smoking weed/being gangsta and thinking about their genitals all day. But we get asked to ignore that type of equity and be forced to hire someone that just smokes weed/getting gangsta and thinks about their sexuality all the time to get equity in another way... and what is the result?

You just need one of them in an office and everything will turn to shit.

DEI is not fair to a large part of the population and it does not yield the most competent candidates. Other than that it is awesome.

DEI is the new affirmative action. The Supreme Court struck that down three years ago. That’s why the left invented DEI to take its place. We’ll see how long it takes for them to strike that down.
