The problem is if the Dems have a majority in the state assembly, Steve isn't going to be able to fix the problems. The Dems did the same thing in Illinois several years ago. The governor before Pritzker wanted to finally fix their problems but the Dems in the state assembly put politics before the people and just sat there holding their breath for four years and then claimed the Republican governor was a do-nothing. You can't save people who don't want to be saved.

As a foreigner looking afar, I'm just fascinated by your answer - why'd they even vote in a Republican governor, I'm talking about the Chicago good people, anyhow? Lol ππ I mean I don't understand the bipolar switch from hardrusted Democrats to "we voted in a Republican and then next election immediately went back to the tried and true blue (party)" lol party lol

Those Chicago voters be different y'all lol ππ lol lol π like Californians. Always flipping between majors. Lol π

1 moI could safely step my foot in California... Once President Donald Trump finishes His term. Before that happens, I would get hauled off to an off-grid CIA site for my takes about a certain Occupied Zone of Free Arab Palestine (and maybe Iran as well). Once peace with Iran is reestablished, though, and a certain war criminal associated with the aforementioned Occupied Zone meets justice, I would be able to come to the USA to experience its newly restored freedom.
Outside of my own interest, California under Republican rule would make New York the last relevant bastion of general wokeism in the USA, fundamentally improving the US society (including demographics). New York would fall the next election cycle, allowing the freedom from wokeism to be exported to Europe en masse. In short, the Western civilisation would be saved.

1 moSame thing that's happened in Texas. While it's only slipped from 7th to 9th in economic stability, and gone up in number of incarcerations in private facilities, it's fallen deeply in all other livability categories such as:
* Health care accessibility
* Infant mortality rates
* Maternal mortality rates
* Education outcomes
* Public infrastructure
* Cost of living, including food, energy & housingIt also ranks as having the 3rd worst electrical grid in the USA, but hey, it has data centers that fuck up your air and water while driving up the price of electricity. Who could ask for more from the R's?
018 Reply- 1 mo
Out electrical grid is fine, it only failed the 1 time during a once in a century blizzard and even then it was because that fucker bidens EPA. Wouldn't let our coal plants operate at full capacity.
All of the healthcare related issues stem from illegal immigration.
Cost of living is far lower than most states especially blue states. - 1 mo
@captain_voidwalker Oh Good Lord, here comes "it's Biden's fault" again. LOL You magats are desperate.
Google is free. If you knew how to use it, you'd see that Texas is ranked low by any metric, especially for transmission planning. It was ranked a D- , in fact, in part due to it's ERCOT system which is an independent grid.
Coal is dying a slow death as an energy source, as it should. Not only that, what the hell does COAL have to do with an outdated grid's inability to deliver electricity? LMAO.
Instead of building data centers, Texas should have build nuclear power plants and upgraded their grid, but it's run by a bunch of idiots with no foresight, that you support by the way.
You know absolutely nothing about health care. Zero. That's apparent after a statement like this:
" All of the healthcare related issues stem from illegal immigration."
Millions upon millions of people can't afford health care, and more rural hospitals are closing every month thanks to your idiot and his Congressional lackeys.
The USA leads every industrialized nation in the world with most money spent on worst outcomes, and it has NOTHING to do with immigrants. Absolutely nothing.
The USA is the ONLY country in the world where you can go BANKRUPT if you get sick.
Block me if you like, but these statements are facts, and you don't know what the fuck you're talking about when it comes to health care or energy. That's your own fault. - 1 mo
I dont need to block you that's a leftists tactic, medical services are expensive due to illegals in reading demand far past the available supply, that's economics 101.
Coal works just fine when government gets the hell out of the way, nuclear could actually get built if again government got the hell out of the way.
If our grid is having any problems it's because our population is growing faster than we can build it, mostly people fleeing from shit states like California and Illinois and again the millions yer man Biden let across the border illegally.
But hey at least when we have a wild fire our hydrants actually work so fire fighters can deal with it.
- 1 mo
@captain_voidwalker Your reply is nonsense.
* You again demonstrate how you know NOTHING about the health care scam in the USA. I won't waste energy trying to explain the irony of your "supply and demand" comment, which is at the root of the problem because it's a for profit system. Insurance premiums aren't cheaper in areas where there are more doctors. Good Lord, you really don't get how it works, and I've no interest in trying to educate an echo box.
Your grid is and HAS been a problem for many years, as in other states. It's not something that suddenly appeared out of fucking nowhere. You blame population growth AS IF this wasn't a known factor for Texas, which they ignored. You've experienced a 1.58% population growth each year, roughly, for the past 10 years, and the state has done NOTHING to update their system or accommodate it. That's called incompetent management, and it's not the fault of the growth itself; it's your officials inability to handle it. That's a big reason why they received their D minus rating along with outdated equipment.
"If the government got out of the way"? Duh? You elected them. And you KEEP elected them. You've had control of the state for 20 years, yet you STILL blame Biden for anything you can.
Pathetic.
Pat yourselves on the back because your fire hydrants function as they should. The country that got flooded turned down a warning system because "it was too expensive" for their own budget. Then the state offered to pay for it, and they still turned it down. More great leadership.
Congratulations. - 1 mo
Ohh yeah because socialized medicine has such a great track record, need to see a specialist hop on that 2 year waiting list. Got cancer well hers some motrin and water good luck, or become like Canada where if you break your leg they'll tell they can't afford a cast but have you considered using the M. A. I. D program

Awww it's cute how you think calling me a trump supporter is supposed to be an insult. Your boos mean nothing to me I've seen what makes you cheer.
- 1 mo
@captain_voidwalker " calling me a trump supporter is supposed to be an insult."
This says everything anyone needs to know. Trump supporters ARE imbeciles, every one of them, and it IS an insult.
Yeah, I'm "woke" ( a word whose meaning you don't understand, so don't bother) .
That makes me cheer. Now please just go away. - 1 mo
A person who supports socialism calling me an idiot, thats amusing on so many levels
- 1 mo
@captain_voidwalker You don't know what socialism means either. By the way, look around you and see how well rampant corporate capitalism is doing. Yes, you are an idiot on this subject. Good bye again.
- 1 mo
I know back when the Berlin wall was still up you had people risking thier lives to get into c capitalist west Berlin. Ys damn sure didn't see the opposite going on. About all i need to know about socialism right there
- 1 mo
@captain_voidwalker One last time, because you're an idiot, then I'm done. Let this sink in:
"There has NEVER been a truly socialist government OR a socialist country on this planet".
This will take years to sink into your little head, so use that time to do research.
If you do, you will find that every regime claiming to be socialist, or accused of being socialist, was a dictatorship or fascist government "posing" as socialist, or communist. Every, single, one. Meanwhile capitalism's effects, when left to run rampant, are easy to see if you have a brain.
There has NEVER been the kind of income disparity in the USA as now since the 1700's. The middle class and one income families thriving is GONE. We're about to entire stage 4 in the repeatable signs of when empires fail.
Go and educate yourself. You don't have to agree with me at all, but you have to bring facts and not sad stories and try to use anecdotes to condemn entire concepts. I can easily sit here ALL day long and name a MILLION cases where capitalism has failed people as well. - 1 mo
Pretty sure the Soviet union qualifies. Granted they called it communism back in those days but they're the same
- 1 mo
@captain_voidwalker Nope. Do your homework. It was an authoritarian dictatorship under a different name.
- 1 mo
Yeah thats the default setting for socialism

1 moThings would improve almost over night. Commie social programs would shut down illegals would be deported. All the junkie losers in "homeless" camps would flee. Schools would teach math and history instead of perverted gender filth. Big money would return and jobs would open up. The list goes on. Of course they'd need to be republicans not rinos.

You won't get 90% of people in any state voting for Republicans. You might as well ask "What would happen if unicorns ran in Triple Crown races?"00 Reply

California is a shit hole and people can run on a party ticket with any sort of policy. In fact that is actually a tactic of the socialists, to run as Republicans. The Uniparty. It matters what policies they want to implement and how likely they are able to implement said policies, not what letter they stick next to theri name on the ballot.

@888thegreat They jailed them for years for nothing, though. Unless they were on their side, then they absolutely ignored even the most bloody BLM-branded riots. Oh, and they basically made being a man illegal and punishable by slow, suffocating agony.
