I don't think they should be rejected merely based on gender.
There are some excellent female cops.
Females make excellent pilots.
Females can make excellent snipers.
But when brute strength is needed, few women would exceed men's abilities. But a lot of guys wouldn't qualify, either. The majority of jobs in the military do not require such strength.11 Reply- 3 mo
I definitely agree 100% to what you have said here.

u 3 monope... and it's been almost 100 years or so, since they have, in various fronts...
sometimes, we tend to think of the military or police as a job that requires physical strength and toughness, and yes it does, lmfao... but that's not all of it
moreso in the military, there's a whole lot, and I mean A LOT of ways to serve, and most of the positions do not actually require "to be a manly man"
there's plenty of specialized positions that won't really require gendered approaches, and to mention just one example... there's been more than one time in which, entire squads of the very best of the special forces from the USA have been saved on land, by an obviously, very capable female pilot on a Warthog and that's just how the US Army is, it's a collective of hundreds if not thousands of people, both men and women
as, for the most "hardcore" of the positions and situations, that's slightly different... and in those, it is not really about what "I think" it is just the reality, these in specific are so demanding and grueling, that not only women won't make it there because it is not ideal, but also even as much as 99% of men really have no business whatsoever being there either30 Reply 931 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Considering my mom did 36 years in the military I already know for a fact it’s very much doable
But my mom will the first to tell you that there certain physical assignments that can’t simply be given to women without considering the individual’s physical capabilities
I’ve seen a lady cop once catch a guy running in the subway station and slam him down before cuffing him all by herself
I fully believe that woman could do it all
But it doesn’t mean any woman can.
Same as “any man”.
That’s why selection should be unbiased by gender and fully focused on ability30 Reply5.7K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I am fine with both.
Indeed, in the novel I am reading, "The End of Men" by Christina Sweeney-Baird, 90% of all men are dead due to a plague, so women have naturally transitioned into these roles.

3 moI actually just posted on another question about this, so this is just a copy and paste:
"Women should not have physical roles in society. When I call I cop, I don't want to see women coming to arrest someone. When I call 911 for a fire, I don't want women coming to save me. And I don't want women fighting for the country.
Women get bodied by men in almost every physical category, other than flexibility. It's a matter of biology. If they could perform the same as men physically, I'd have no issue with it. But they don't.
There's a reason why trans win most sports competitions in womens events. It's an unfair biological difference.
Women need to accept that. There were strength competitions of midget men against bodybuilder women and the midgets won. There are competitions of skinny guys vs bodybuilder women and the skinny guys won.
We're literally built different."10 Reply
3 moNo, if women can pass the same training and test that men have to pass, then there is no reason for them not to serve. The real question shouldn't be should women not serve in military or law enforcement, it should be, should women receive different, less demanding requirements to serve in the military or law enforcement, and the answer is is no, and can have a negative impact, especially in the military during life or death situation's where soldiers are required to carry out certain task,
10 ReplyIf they can do the same they should serve.
Means fitness. Physically and mentally.
Why do people join the army?
I never understand. But the USA seems to have a successful military structure.
I am more peacefully. I never understand the structure. Who ia responsible for qhat. What a job means. Even I read the tables.
I don't understand it. It is like from another world to me.20 Reply
3 moHonestly... certain jobs should belong to women. They shouldn't be out there expected to punch a 6'4" tall black dude in the chest and drop him like a limp noodle like I do. Put her ass where the paper work needs to be done. She's gonna get her face smashed out in the streets.
Military... you know she'd get raped right away if Iranian IRGC caught her ass... me... maybe they'd just kill me. If you want women there instead... she's still going to get killed... just raped first. It's their policy... they must be raped before going to the after life... I'm not joking. They don't want you to go to heaven so they rape the women.

3 moWomen have a place in the military, but not in the infantry. Female officers are a lot more dangerous because they have to overcompensate. A typical scuffle has a has a much higher chance in the female officer using lethal force because they don’t have the biology to defend themselves in the same way a man can. If my wife is being robbed or attacked and a 5’4” female officer weighing a buck 20 shows up, she’s going to do more harm than good.

3 moTheir choice, I think women should lead the world... They are responsible for life... I think god is a feminine energy, not masculine. If god was a man he would fuck everything and forget about it. Masculine energy is straight to the point, action, and motion. Feminine energy is nothing but potential its loving, nurturing, unlimited potential.
Women do things based off emotions and intuition. If a women ran the world would there be a need for military?10 Reply- 433 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
3 moSo long as they meet the physical requirements I think they should be allowed too, but I don't think are goal should be to get more women in these roles. I don't think most women would want to be cops, I know I wouldn't so it will be a loosing battle, and that will probably lead to lowering standards that will put people at risk.
10 Reply 1.6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Women should have their own military units of ground troops and be the first sent in, then once all of them are depleted, they can send in the capable male troops to get the task done. If they don't sacrifice their lives, willingly get limbs blown off and burned, they shouldn't get to vote or have rights.

3 moNo, it's perfectly legit for women to serve in military or police. The heavy physical jobs though should be kept for guys who have the requisite physical strength.

3 moSeeing as most women don't care to be on the front lines even when they are, it's fine if they want to do support work or the like.. I don't believe that they shouldn't serve if they really want to though.. As long as they can prove themselves..

3 moThey should be in emergency dispatch and call-taking for all 999 services (but not operational), and as for the military, they can be in the medical corps, or in secretarial work (only if they're straight. Lesbians can only work in civilian customer service jobs).
Simples...
10 Reply 11.6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I don't care if they do or they don't. Although I think if there's an obligation to do it, they should be subjected to that obligation just like men are. In other words, if there is a military draft then it should apply to women just like it does to men. Men are required to register for the military draft right now when they turn 18 but women don't have to do this. I see that as a violation of equal protection among other things.

10 Reply 1.2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. No, if they are strong enough which many are and that is the job they want then they should be able to do it. They should however, be away from the more dangerous stuff when pregnant. The baby didn't choose to be in a gun fight.

10 Reply2.5K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. IMHO, there's a lot of different positions WITHIN various career fields that females should not be in. That doesn't mean they shouldn't be in those career fields at all, however.

@goaded ok, well, maybe you could talk to me about why it is that you ignore the problems of men and yet you're constantly defending women and talking about their problems. We are both men. We are both discriminated against. The difference between us is that I talk about men's problems as openly as I know how, and you seem to just let them go right by you. Perhaps you've not been the victim of discrimination because of your gender, but I sure as hell have. I don't want that to happen to you, but I think if a little bit of it did happen to you, you might take a different view of this.
- 3 mo
@msc545 You're right. I don't feel discriminated against for being a man. Never have.
What I can see is you dismissing a man's opinion you don't like as simply someone wanting to get laid, with all the implied discrimination that contains.
Do you believe women shouldn't serve in the military or be in law enforcement?
- 3 mo
@msc545 It's a matter of priorities. Is losing money or custody worse than losing your life?
"Each year, roughly 2,000 American women are murdered by their current or former partners. Domestic violence accounts for 27 percent of the nation's violent crime and is a leading cause of death for Black women ages 18 to 45."

Amazingly, the US seems to lead the world in approaching equality in this area!
USA! USA!
Should a man have a role in the decision whether a woman should have an abortion? Yes - an opinion, but she has the final say because she's the one who has to live with the decision, either way.
What particular men's rights do you think I should be fighting for? Are they being taken away right now, like those of trans people and women in the US military? - 3 mo
@goaded primarily the right to equal treatment. A lot of men are forced to pay ridiculously large amounts of child support and custody that they cannot afford. Many, many men completely lose custody of their children or effectively lose custody to the extent that the conditions imposed are so onerous and expensive that they actually can't see their children. In my case, they just simply lose their children, all to get there for no particularly good reason. Family law courts are courts of equity, not courts of law, which means the judges can do whatever the hell they want, pretty much. Family law courts are notoriously favorable toward women and prejudiced against men. Appeal from these decisions is almost always unsuccessful and hideously expensive. Men's rights get violated on a routine basis in these courts.
