Should judges face prison time for releasing criminals and ignoring the constitution?

Assuming there was an unbiased way of applying the law then yes


But the reality is: we have the court system because there is no way to determine with absolute certainty what someone did or didn’t do.
So we settle for “it’s good enough for the court”


So if a judge blatantly disregard the law of the land and lets loose a person despite there being enough evidence of a crime then the judge could be in turn sued or disbarred.


And there are courts for that as well, the Judicial Conduct Commission for example.


But one person deciding who’s guilty and who isn’t and then punishing the judges who disagree is definitely not the way to go if you want a civilized society

Law is always going to be subjective and appeal oriented. Hence the appeals process.

Sure if something agregues happen and you too can prove beyond a reasonable doubt by a jury of peers a breach of law or constitution happen with an equal appeals process. Jail time could be in order.

Absolutely. And they need to be responsible for people that turn loose that go out and kill or maim people. Jail time would be a good deterrent if they let out a killer because they think that he is just a misunderstood minority kid trying to turn his life around and he gets out and kills again.

No judges are the people who decide with the lies and whether or not criminals should be released or they should stay in jail or prison. It's not up to you as a layperson or me to make those decisions because we're not trained to do that. If you don't like a decisions that a judge makes then write to your newspaper about it. You can't put people in jail because you don't like their professional decisions.
