Why would Trump or anyone in his Administration ever attempt to predict when gas prices are coming down if they have no clue?

Because they have much more than a clue about what will happen to gas prices, they have solid evidence.

On April 7, 2026 when President Trump announced a two week ceasefire, gas went from an average of $3.33 a gallon to $3.00 a gallon in literally a few hours.

That's a 10% drop in a matter of hours.

As soon as Iran surrenders for good, and they will because President Trump put them in a position where they will have no choice, this clearly indicates that gas prices will drop like a stone.

Couple this with President Trumps incredibly successful reversal of the Obama and Biden administration's catastrophic war on gas policies that led to the highest gas prices in history, and you would have to be stupid to think that they aren't going to fall even further than the already low gas prices in spite of the war compared to the last administration.

The prices seem to be going down already but like anything else. it is driven by greedy oil companies and greedy vendors. My prediction is that it will take three months after Iran is vanquished for gas prices to go back down to what they were and another 3 months before they are once again below 2 dollars a gallon.

Prices are going up. Oil companies will want $4.50 to $5 gas to fix Middle East and Venez oil problems. Trump has no say. If he does a Nixon and sets Prices on gas , the gas stations will run out of it.;
