Absolutely not. Trump is not sophisticated nor very bright. He has always had a thing for British royalty, and was busy showing him off awkwardly, beaming and basking in the narcissistic supply that comes from a visit from a sovereign, and King Charles brilliant surgically sharp speech in congress, literally eviscerating and in opposition to everything PedoPiggy stands for, sailed right over trumps head — and then the French comment, in rebuttal to OrangeTurd’s dumb dumb comment about speaking German also went right over demented frontal lobes. He got insulted twice, in public, and had no clue. I feel so sorry for the King having been subjected to that uncouth sh*tbag.

I wonder what French words they'd massacre as they did English. One could argue English is preserved largely through the volume of American speakers, should French have become their tongue English may have been reduced to a minority language in England or least greatly altered.

Actually, German almost became our official language because there were so many Germans here. There was even a town in Pennsylvania where up until the 50s, everything was in German.

But if the English wouldn't have come, it would have just stayed French and been populated with native French speakers, so we wouldn't even be having a discussion about that issues.

AFTER the fact would have been different, as Americans aren't exactly known for their bilingualness. But if it just stayed French, it would have just been French

I doubt it, as even I didn't understand it. As you guys saved US from the English, not the other way around. Someone on IG had to explain it to me. They basically said North America was French, until the British kicked them out. But being under French rule and speaking French wouldn't have been a bad thing

I know American history. In 1812 British attacked us not french. Brits helped the south preserved slavery in 1860s. But french never invaded u. S. Did they?

I suspect you might be taking what Trump says too seriously & maybe you should view it as a French farce.

Trump dearly loves trolling and the punch line are people's reactions. It doesn't pay to pay much attention to what he says but instead to what he seems to have in mind. He wants to be thought of as highly unpredictable and erratic.

He said as much to reporters as he was getting onto a helicopter once. "They don't know what I'll do" and then enhanced with "I don't what I will do either". Funny.

Probably looking for the reaction of taking the deal you can live with even if it is not a good one cause you don't know what tomorrow's deal might be except likely worse. :)
