I think you need to view current geopol in terms of a spectre of WW3 with the autocratic powers of China, Russia and Iran.

China has been very explicit with it's ambition of taking the South China Sea despite UN rulings against it and with invading Taiwan. As you may have noticed Putin wants to re-establish the USSR and retake Eastern Europe.

In their latest 'peace' proposal Iran has proposed forming a 'security' body for the middle east which probably is intended by them to take control of the whole of the Middle East. Nice low key deception effort.

Whether European leaders are happy or unhappy, they need to take care of Russia. Europe does have structural problems as mostly it is a collection of small countries. It is crazy that Australia has more firepower than Spain despite it is twice our population

Overall Trump is playing a good geopol hand and we can hope China is faked out and no war does happen with them.

It’s estimated that the higher oil prices due to Trump’s unnecessary Iran war will net Russia an additional 50-100 billion dollars in oil revenue. Which will arguably enable Russia to lengthen the Ukraine war. 😡👎

Ukraine has a fairly effective vote and is varying refineries off line quite effectively.

So I think it is a cross product of what Russia could export if not interfered with by what oil refineries are working and what crude oil pipelines are pumping and by how effectively they can hit shadow fleet tanker berthing to take on oil.

Elated? Putin is done for at least 10 years and for Xi is NATO not really a topic, since NATO has no members in east Asia.
EU NATO countries need to increase defense budgets and this fear mongering of defense ministers is just rethiric to justify that.
If US withdraws from Europe this would be great but I'm sure US will never be that nice. Losing footholds in Eurasia would be a strategic disaster for US.
