I think our Orange Man Baby and the hand picked morons he's put in place at the Pentagon and our Intelligence agencies woefully underestimated Iran's possible responses. And so far Iran has played the cards they have pretty skillfully. Iran has stalemated the US military at every turn while the USA has wasted tens of billions of dollars of expensive, hard to replace weaponry and driven our government deeper and deeper into debt for zero tangible gain.

The US attacked Iran. No problem, Iran directed it's response at lightly defended other oil states in the gulf region. The US wasted money with broad attacks on Iranian infrastructure and military targets. Iran chose to take the fight to a key piece of geography that neutered the US military, the Straight Of Hormuz. End result? Iran has shut down the global oil market. Yeah, Iran is winning in case you're too blind to admit it.
