If you were given the option of picking up your life, your current job and salary and living back in 1965 would you?

I read today that in 1965 a cheeseburger from Micky D's was 19 cents fries 12 cents and a coke 10 cents. And a gallon of gas was 31 cents. Keep in mind moving your life to 1965 while it would be much cheaper, you'd also abandoning every modern convenience and amenity.

I think I would be a total stranger to this era, social mores would either piss me off 24/7 or bore me to death. In how I conceive 1965, this kind of solitude it would give is a hard no. And I didn't even talk about the hole in my heart created by access to a quite limited pool of musical genres.

No, give me the people of 2026 instead. I'll manage inflation. To an extent at least lol.

1965 was not exactly the dark ages. There was still television, radio and telephones. Heart transplants were jut starting to happen. I could live without cell phones and the internet. I would be super rich making over 100K a year. The cars were awesome and so was the music.
