Yes our government sucks.

President of The United States of America Donald J Trump responded, “Not even a little bit” when asked how much does Americans’ financial situation plays into his negotiations with Iran. The whole purpose of a President is to lead the free world, not really free if you ask me with all these prices out of control, wages remaining stagnant, businesses barely keeping their heads above water, housing crisis, banks ripping off the youth with shady practice, groceries shrinkflated, etc.
The President ran on policy and a lot of people got duped, so I would like them to hold him accountable however they are either too shy, too scared, or too afraid of coming out like they made a bad decision in which I say to swallow your pride and call out this administration.

The Epstein Files, I haven’t seen one Goddamn arrest made or charge for the victims to get justice. Israeli, Middle Eastern, American, European partners, politicians, businessmen, celebrities, royalty are implicated and deserve to be brought to justice given what we know. I say what we know because there’s still hundreds to thousands redacted and kept from public view which only politicians are allowed to view in private and take notes.

No more wars, no more protecting pedophiles, and no more not listening to your constituents. Go forth and help make the world a better place, not just for the elites and focus on the everyday people struggling each and everyday. You made your billions in insider trading and schemes ($60 bible, signed guitars, mobile phones that don’t exist, and whatnot). Get off your ass and focus on the plight of the American public and stop having tax payer dollars go into your $1 billion ballroom when you promised it would only be $250 million by corporate donors and feet away from The White House (which you demolished an entire wing).

We suck. We absolutely suck. We don’t have to suck, but we do.
We have other issues to worry about not caused by Trump, but certainly expanded upon by this administration. Fix it, don’t add more issues to the mix.

It sucks because the checks and balances aren't working.
When the Founding Fathers designed the US Federal Government, they did a reasonably well job given that they had to make compromises among the states or the new Constitution wasn't going to be ratified. (For instance, this is why we have the Electoral College.) However, a major problem with the Founding Fathers is that they were not "regular people". Sure, that had emotions and thoughts much like anyone, but they also grew up in something of a privileged culture unlike most people. So, they assumed our political leaders would come from a similar background and be civil and operate with suitable decorum. So, additional checks and balances that they SHOULD have put in place, they did not because they felt the political class would have self-restraint and exhibit proper decorum for their class and station in life.

230 years later, we elect Donald Trump who has none of those self-control mechanisms. Most of the Founding Fathers likely felt such a boor wouldn't be electable and thus such a needed check against someone like that wasn't needed. Indeed, even going into the 2016 election, many in the political class refused to believe that Trump was electable. Like the Founding Fathers, many of them grew up with class and privilege and, further, weren't neurotic nut jobs like Trump so they could just not fathom that Trump was a real threat to become President.

Well, the electorate is not the political class and people will elect whoever they believe will give them what they want - both good or bad. Trump was an expression of their Id which they could not express themselves.

And so we now have Donald Trump and the quadrillions of dollars and decades in damage he hath wrought like a political Godzilla.

And that's why you have a fucked up government at every level now.

In the 1980s, I could see this shit storm happening so I chose not to have kids. For their sake, it was the best decision I ever made and I have no regrets.

When you put all the pieces together and where we've been where we are headed

We elect them to represent us to protect us and if you look at everything that has happened and if you look at the food that we were being given and we have to pay for it

The government should know that everything is made of chemicals nowadays there's no real food out there and it is destroying the people that's why they're such a big Healthcare cost and they all are part of the elite the people who run our country senators and congressmen don't do anything until election day that's the only time you see mine anyway but they've gotten away with so much that they just do it right in front of us now they don't really care about it and it's because we allow it so if they suck it's because of us because we allow it we're on our way of for change I believe but we haven't seen it yet and we haven't seen the worst of it it's going to get pretty bad I think because they're going to try to control us just like they control everything else people might think this is a conspiracy well it's right in front of us each and every day look at the way our kids are taught nowadays it's ridiculous congressman and Senators they know this they have grandchildren but they do nothing about it

And they can't because There's strings aren't being pulled they only work for The string pullers not. Us. But I have also seen that no matter what we will prevail we will win and they will have to pay the price I believe so we but we've been paying the price so we're kind of used to it

The government does not work for the citizens. It does not matter which party is in power. Taxes are way too high. There re hidden taxes for everything you can think of. I pay a runoff tax for rainwater (I am not making this up). The city charges for structures and areas that are covered with blacktop that do not absorb rainwater so supposedly the rainwater ends up in the ocean. I never figured out why this is a bad thing and what the city does to prevent this but it just looks like a money grab to me.

It sucks , but the half the people keep putting their guy in. So when the dollar fails. and it will, and economy collapses (it will) , the people are really to blame. The majority of people go along with the system instead of demanding a change.

The rest of the rich world primarily allocates health care primarily based on need. There are dozens of ways to do it. They all work okay. The USA is it's own kind of weird on health care.

Don't get me wrong. We have plenty of other problems. Housing affordability/availability is terrible.

But health. Health we've got sorted.

It's not as efficient as it could be. The property tax one is interesting, because most other countries allow you to buy land, here all we can really seem to do is rent land.
