Why do so many people seem to hate AI right now?

It's changing things and some people don't flow with the change and get stuck on the negatives. I have a friend that told me, "The internet was a mistake" not long ago... but I love it... before people got all their info off cable television, and if you wanted to research something, you literally had to hit the books or find a knowledgeable person to talk to on the topic.

I'm personally not a fan of phones... I remember before when I'd sit down with people or was around people... we'd talk and interact with each other more. My woman for instance will put in a earbud and just stare at her phone... watching romance movies while I'm sitting accross from her in a restaurant. With all that said... these phone are a lifesaver for so many situations that I wouldn't want to go without... I just hate how so many are now walking zombies or worse yet... driving zombies... get off the phone already, damn!!!

AI... right now it reminds me of what a search on the internet used to be like until it got dominated with advertisements and "sponsored sites." Not quite the same as that was, and probably better.

In the end, it's just a tool. And like any tool, you got to take the good with the bad. Flow with the change.

I think the complete insincerity that it creates , so I have female friend , who always wants to embrace the latest thing , I find first adaptors are rarely best creators..

So she has a promo AI of her talking in all these different languages ( promo stuff ) the image she presents is bullshit , she didn't look that good 23 years ago

So you just come across as dishonest , insencere , untrustworthy and stupid , it all achieves nothing , the entire thing is just annoying.

Then AI cover letters , where is the creation?
So very many things are annoying.

Because, when you call a company or a doctor, it is annoying to be forced to interact with a non-intelligent system instead of speaking to a person.

When automobiles were first developed, laws required a man with a red flag precede the vehicle to warn people it was coming. I guess that's about where we are with AI. People fear what they don't understand

It's funneling all the money to a small class of rich. Well, yes, but these trends don't last forever. War, civil unrest, intergenerational diffusion, yada yada

Lots of reasons. First of it's being used to spam social media with insincere content, it's being used to copy the art style of small artists. People are afraid it will take jobs and people are using it as a proxy to hate on rich people

I personally see AI as a double edged sword. Most AI tools are not to be trusted to keep your queries private. On the other hand it makes research far faster and allows the average person to compete with the big leagues in entertainment in a massive way.

If you have ever seen the atrocity that is the Odyssey movie, someone could make a much more believable version in a fraction of the time and money.
