We are all going to be replaced, but what's the downside? We will all be given a UBI, so don't worry about it. Machines have been replacing humans for hundreds of years. Why is this a bad thing? People theories early atomic bombs will blow away the atmosphere killing all of humanity. Our current standard explosive ordinance 100x more damage then old radioactive single bomb. So we are in the early stages of theory. Until we get quantum computing down i really don't care about ai.

What is quantum computing. Frist we need to understand computers binary coding. All information travel from smoke singles to computer data can be broken down to "on" or "off". 1 and 0 respectfully. Computers today are reaching a bottle neck in the laws of physics in matter with how small resistances can stop electrical imposes. Electric being on or 1 or resistance 0. What ever resistant matter smallest we can make a single of electric still passes through.

Quantum computing takes the same logic 1 and 0 but the smallest quantum byte takes equivalent of 16 bytes or 16 1 and 0. So we take our current processing power to the power of 16. You know 8 bit, 16 bit, 32, 64, (128 bit that's not real today) will turn into the power 16. Exponential astronomical. This will help with simulation processing the tool that that is being pushed to the very limit today.

Another way to think about it the limiting factor of legs with endless power. The leg creating fiction creats forward movement but limited to the legs movement. With quantum computing every step is 16 steps at once. Overcoming friction.

AI as most people interface with it is just a replacement for failing corporate media structure. For years cable news shows reported the narrative to control people's minds and influence their decisions. Newscasters reported their telling of history, their framing of "the truth", their distractions to keep people minds preoccupied in the control matrix so that they stayed blind and enslaved. As people lose faith in corporate media and seek their information elsewhere on the internet, the same people that fund corporate media now try to infiltrate the internet with a new medium of information control. They censor normal people who provide information to curious minds, they limit information availability through search indexes for those who become dependent on corporations like Google, they frame the narrative through AI projects like ChatGPT that actively lie to people to control their perception of reality. Ultimately they want you to trust their lies, rely on their crafted narrative stream, and worship their false god as it were as infallible so that they can control you.

We TRIED UBI- or functionally so, anyway- during the lockdowns. The result was exactly what the opponents of it always claimed it would be (well, not the part about governments cutting people off and essentially starving them out for criticizing them, but that's mostly because it didn't last long enough). Head to your local grocery store and check the prices; that's what's UBI gets you.

AI is indeed a tool at this point still, however that may change in the not so distance future as to enable those who wield it including what they create to wield it for them with incomprehensible power advantage in the form of a pin.

As for economic, I don't think you quite understand how economics works, There are not enough sail boats and guitar's in the world nor enough resources to make them for everyone who might fancy them.
Therefore only to the minority who most contributes would afford them. It doesn't matter what that price is for if everyone had a million dollars everyone would have nothing. And the sail boat would only go to the people who had 60 billion dollars.

Try reading about AI and where it has gone on its own. Most AI, when left to its own devices gets darker and more macabre. How about the US Air Force simulation where AI killed its operators because it ‘thought’ the operators were essentially holding it back from accomplishing its mission? There were supposed to be fail safes inline to ensure it wouldn’t turn and it found a way to bypass them. If you think AI is benevolent, think again.

It is not AI that we should be scared of, but people with malicious intentions who get their hands on it.

Same as Deep Web was meant to be used to keep sensitive information about governments and companies out of search engine indexing, so that journalist and whistle blowers could fight for our rights and freedom, but the criminal world got their hands on it too.

AI is not scary same as the Deep Web isn't. It is who use it and for what, that can be scary or not.
