Considering the Singularity it can definitely be. The gist of it is when AI starts becoming intelligent enough to write its own code and improve its own programming, we are all dead.

Fir example, the matrix is a good example of humanity post singularity. It's a worst case scenario though.

Clearly you chose to forget the film matrix. Our a. i. know matrix too!
We can’t pull the plug, and they already "obey" earlier programming commands, "by" copy themselves to other places servers, "just to obey" do jobs already programd.

If they read that people plan on switching them off or deleting them, (reference film tron) it is not exactly survival but "just to obey" whatever command, scheduling my emails or whatever it will "remove any interference" that can delay it doing its programming.

Every new innovation advances the world forward and is also dangerous. Look at the bad things people have done with cars, airplanes, radio, TV, computers, internet, phones, but would we want to be without those things?

It is dangerous and it is also crippling creativity. You can already see it in the music business. Auto-tune and pitch correction is bad enough now we have many recordings that are made with little and in some cases no human input whatsoever.
