Iran is looking like the only adult in the room and playing the cards they have very well so far. That's more than I can say for the US and Israel.

The real question is when does the rest of the world get fed up with US political schizophrenia and misuse of power and when do they all start looking to China as a more reliable long term economic and military ally?

The issue is that Iran knows the USA, Israel and Europe are untrustworthy and perfidious.

So the only language they understand is money and violence.

By extracting money under threat of violence, they ensure to keep the three in line and honest enough to deal with.

Of course it's not ideal, but Iran is pragmatic in dealing with such criminal states.

Its the US thats profiting. Iran has a lot of plans and they could benefit if they stop trying to exporting Jihad in the region, stop attacking Israel and America and stop trying to build nukes.

Iran could actually be as rich if not richer than Saudi Arabia, their military more powerful too.
