When a relationship is new, you don't know your partner at all. The uncertainty of how they might react or what they might think about something, what they might want, or dislike, or where they want to go. . . all of that causes excitement. It's thrilling, like jumping out of an airplane.

When a relationship is old, you know your partner very well. The certainty of how they will react or what they will think about something, what they will want, or dislike, or where they will want to go. . . all of the excitement is gone.

Some people want the predictability of an established relationship because it feels comforting to them. These people can be good partners for a LTR.

Some people want the excitement of a new relationship. Some people need the rush of jumping out of an airplane. If you are seeking a LTR, you need to stay away from these people. "Run, Forrest, run!"

But are people really that different? I think it's that we each respond to a person on that level that you mention. New equals actions and reactions adjusted. Why not be like we are? 🤷‍♂️

And she said she would not tolerate bullies and I agree when are we going to do the same thing when are we going to say enough is enough when are we going to think about our kids instead of ourselves and just keep being invisible when are we going to wake up and change the world to a better place

I don't see that happening except to white people. All the foreigners usually have big families.

no it does happen. globally. it's not my guess. that's well documented social scientific projections it will happen in 2050 or maybe a bit later. the trend is currently going downwards but we're still slightly above global sustainability but birthrates are litterally going down everywhere. in order to have a population stable, you need at least 1.9 children per woman. the vast majority of western first world nations have numbers around 1.5 or less already. and even certain crazy countries in africa who used to have 10 or 8 chlildren per women (which in these countries didn't count for population replacement cause many of the children die) have gone down to 6 or 4. so globally, the trend is going down.
