It really depends on the situation and the person. I can respectfully disagree when a discussion is meaningful and both sides are open-minded, but sometimes I choose to just agree or stay quiet to avoid unnecessary arguments. Not every disagreement leads to a productive conversation, and some people only want conflict rather than understanding.

I’ve learned that protecting your peace is sometimes more important than proving a point. So yes, there are times when I simply agree to avoid tension, even if I privately think differently. And in some situations, agreeing to disagree is the healthiest option because not every person will see things the same way.

If both of us getting exhausted arguing and giving up because there is no hope of fixing anything counts as agreeing to disagree, then I guess I did that once recently. I almost never get into any kind of debates in person, so this is almost strictly an answer to people online.

As for me I agree to disagree as much as I disagree to agree but sometimes I agree to just agree & sometimes I just disagree to just disagree.

Well, I think my opinions tend to generally be unpopular and in my family, I'm somewhat of a black sheep. The few friends I have generally agree with most of what I say though, but maybe that's part of why we're friends lol

I'm not sure it's exactly disagreeing but I have a different slant on subjects that come up.

I don't like to get all caught up in disagreements, but I won't agree with something someone says unless I believe it as well.

Every once in awhile when the the argument seems interminable I will suggest that we agree to disagree. I have yet to have anyone turn this down.
