Do You Take Advice From Your Innerer Schweinehund?

The Innerer Schweinhund is a modern German cultural expression which refers to the lazy, procrastinating voice inside your head that you have to overcome to get things done.

I came across this phrase when watching a War film and a German called someone a 'Schweinhund', and I looked up the meaning, and as I expected I found it to be an old -fashioned German swear word, as well as the meaning I'm telling you about.

I thought you might like to know this word, and hopefully you will not listen to your 'Innerer Schweinhund' when it speaks to you, or at least you will know the situation you are involved in.

What is your opinion?

A. To often I listen to my Innerer Schweinhund.
B. I don't listen to my Innerer Schweinhund.
C. I don't have voices in my head.
D. Something else.

Am I the only person to experience 'inner voices' lol.

Apparently it is completely normal to experience this internal monologue that helps to plan, reason, or replay past conversations.

Phew! I'm pleased Google agrees with me 🤣
