Well, mostly he said it because he has impaired judgment and insight and the impulse control of an angry rattlesnake. Trump is not a well man. He has a very serious psychiatric illness, so anything that he says and does you should regard as a symptom of his illness. His illness is not his fault, of course, but it makes him a pretty obnoxious human being to be around and a very dangerous human being to be in charge of much of anything.

1) Trump is not running for office so midterms aren't a personal concern and 2) midterms will be a red wave regardless of what Trump does in Iran. So if you bank on elections to stop a conflict, or you think the conflict will win the Democrats Congress back, you'd be wrong either way. As for Oman, they support the Houthis and since they are on the menu, if Oman continues to back Houthis and harbor them, obvious they will get blown the fuck up. It's pretty simple really.

@Pohjolan Impeachment is nothing more than an accusation. Democrats accuse Trump of shit he didn't do every single day. Nothing changes. It is the sol power of the Senate to try all impeachments. If they Senate doesn't want to try the case they can flat out ignore it. If they do want to try the case, it still takes two thirds of the members of the Senate to convict an impeached official and remove them from office. So like I said it means nothing. That's not even address the reality of the midterm election. Racial gerrymandering has been ruled against by the Supreme Court, thus many states have already redistricted to address this discriminatory issue. As a result, Republicans will be picking up dozens of seats and Democrats will be losing dozens of seats putting the Republicans at a significant lead over the Democrat party. It will be a red wave. All states will have to redistrict by 2028 to address the issue, so in the next general election, Democrats will lose even worse than they are going to lose in 2026. It's pretty much the end of the Democrat party. By 2030 the new census will occur and massive amounts of illegal aliens will have been removed, shrinking the populations of Blue states significantly losing them more house seats, and due to Democrat bad policy population migration will concentrate power in southern red states. There is no recovery for the Democrat party... especially with the criminal prosecutions that are coming for high profile names within their party. The amount of scandal they are facing will disgrace them for several generations.

The fake news has fabricated a narrative that paints the military action in Iran in the worst possible light. The reality is that the US military has decimated the Iranian armed forces and has killed most of their leadership. The blockade has been bleeding the country dry.
It is highly unlikely that Iran will possess a nuclear bomb for at least the next generation.
Paying an extra dollar of so for gas seems a small price for such a big outcome especially since it will ne a short lived situstion.

The economy is doing much better since Trump is back. Today all 3 stock indexes closed in record territory, unemployment is a low 4%, inflation is under control and consumer spending is up. The crisis in Iran will be over one way or the other soon enough.

The average American remembers it was much worse 4 years ago. Inflation was 9.9%. and gas was over 5 bucks. Yesterday the inflation numbers came in at 3.6% . This will be short lived once we get Iraq settled. Gas prices will soon go down and other prices will follow.
