Well if there were ever any man whose ideas need to die it's Adolph Hitler. I'd nominate the people who admire him too.
I'd say the same thing about fake Gods, particularly the three Abrahamic religions, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The faster they disappear, the better off humanity will be.
My choice would be various Greek philosophers and mathematicians such as Plato, Aristotle, and Archimedes. From China, Sun Tzu. From Italy Galileo, Copernicus, Da Vinci. From Britain, Newton. From Germany, Einstein. These people formed the foundation modern human civilization.
It is worth remembering that Aristotle and Plato defended slavery. On the other hand, both of them profoundly influenced the intellectual development of Islam and, from around the 11th century onward, the Christian world through their philosophies.
The same religion, depending on interpretation and underlying paradigms, can split into very different sects and schools of thought. In the case of Judaism, unlike the other two religions, there is no concept of missionary activity, nor does it generally claim universality in the same way.
A connection can certainly be made between the positive sciences and the development of civilization, but I do not think the same can necessarily be said about morality and values. After all, nineteenth-century scientific racism and phrenology, as well as Nazism, also drew legitimacy from what was considered positive science at the time.
