The meaning of a word changed so much. why?

usually a shirt means a shirt! the word has always meant a shirt. most words.

but look at how the word 'gay' changed.

we know now 'gay' means: the thing we get banned from facebook, if we criticized.

ten years ago, when southpark was allowed to say it, it meant something to avoid not participation. i bet recently they never say the phrase anymore!

before that, in 1980s gay was a word i wasn't allowed to say. even if i said the right context 'your gift makes me gay' i got yelled at for saying that forbidden word.

before that in book tom sawyer it was the EXACT OPPOSITE of southpark: something to join noble and desirable!

'avenged and kill the family, of the ones who hurt a gang member ' was called 'gay' in tom sawyer book! something tough and noble and desirable to join. so the meaning changed so much!

crazy?
