Do you think modern Christianity has become too passive and feminized?

The book Offensive Christianity: Restoring the Strength of Men in a Feminized Age argues that many Christian men have been taught to treat strength, ambition, and power as dangerous, while “niceness” has become the highest virtue.

The author argues that Christian men need to recover a stronger, more active faith rooted in Scripture, family, courage, and responsibility.

Ooh I don’t know, …yuck, yuck, and more yuck. (Is this a Charlie Kirk kind of thing? About men and all that?) Well, yuck either way. There is a hell of a lot of things offensive about Christianity besides some wack perceived notion of it being too feminine (Where do you hear this by the way? I am scared to ask).
The only thing I know about Christianity these days, is that it is statistically failing out of favor with people largely, and THAT is a good thing. The trend is going, and continues, in the right direction with humanity at large, but I’m afraid it will be at least another 1,000 years (+/-) before it’s completely gone.

@Tamera952 Whether Christianity is growing or shrinking doesn’t really answer the question. Ideas can be popular or unpopular and still be true or false.

As for where this concern comes from, many Christians argue that modern church culture often emphasizes being agreeable and non-confrontational while downplaying virtues like courage, leadership, sacrifice, responsibility, and moral conviction. The argument is not that Christianity has become “too feminine” because women are involved. The argument is that some churches have become uncomfortable with traditionally masculine virtues when those virtues are rooted in service, responsibility, and self-discipline.

You may disagree with that assessment, but that is the concern being raised in the book and in this poll.

I don't think one can dispute that.

The philosophy is one of 'niceness', which just means not having sufficient backbone to deal with people who are trampling over your boundaries. It's a real problem in the UK because we have more dominant and aggressive religions and cultures coming here, who are taking advantage of this 'niceness'.

I'm not sure where this weak passive conception of Christianity came from. Because the UK has been Christian for over a 1000 years. And read a little bit of history, to see, we weren't so nice back then...

I think the Christians of this era has take the "turn the other cheek" far longer than it is meant to, as it is only meant for personal problems.

No. Christianity is not a “Jewish psyop.” Christianity is the fulfillment of God’s covenant, rooted in Christ, the apostles, the martyrs, the prophets, and Scripture.

My criticism is not that Christianity itself makes men weak. True Christianity produces courage, discipline, sacrifice, fatherhood, moral responsibility, and spiritual warfare. The problem is that many modern churches have watered it down into passive niceness, therapeutic self-esteem, and conflict avoidance.

That is not the faith of Christ overturning tables, Paul enduring beatings, Peter facing execution, or the martyrs refusing to deny God. Christianity does not need to be abandoned by men. It needs to be reclaimed by men who are willing to live it with strength, conviction, and responsibility.
