Work is easer now than before, we get more options, you can make a living or a fortune by just staying home or whatever and not to mentions, robots may replace us. Modern women can do those without having a caring husband to provide for them which is why they're picky with men because they don't need them anymore. Really what's men's purpose now in 2022 when no one appreciates them anymore? What do society and specially women appreciate in men? We have testosterone to be used not to be taken for granted. Men with idle body get old, get sluggish and die faster and all they get are shame for that.

Keep in mind, im asking if they're "becoming" obsolete not if they "are" obsolete. I know society still needs men today but I'm talking about in the future as we keep advancing and developing.

So, to start, the question you're asking as a lot more complicated than it seems, and seems to be predicate on the idea that all men only have masculine traits, and that all women only have feminine traits.

The first question is whether or not men are becoming biologically obsolete. The concept of man and woman came from The fact that you need one of each to have a child. That's why it's important. Since we still need both sperm and an egg to reproduce, men aren't obsolete. In the future, we will most likely be able to grow humans without either a sperm or an egg. What will eventually become obsolete is the concept of men vs women, not the individual people.

When it comes to masculinity and femininity, both are equally important. Masculinity and femininity can both be very positive or very toxic. I have personally seen problems created by toxic masculinity that femininity wouldn't have created, and other problems created by toxic femininity that masculinity would never have created.

To make my point clear, confidence is a masculine trait that is valuable in both men and women. If someone has too much confidence they can quickly become a nuisance.

Empathy is a feminine trait that is valuable in both men and women. If someone has too much, however, it can make that individual unable to make objective decisions, or in some situations make the individual unable to make any decisions at all.

So to answer your question, no, nothing is becoming obsolete. If it seems that way, it's likely that the definition we use for masculinity vs femininity is changing.

I think the misconception about women back then is that they just played a supportive role. Of course they supported their husband's work, but the husband often also supported the wife. It was teamwork. There were definitely some issues with it though, so I'm not arguing that we should go back to that.

It's false to think that women don't need men. Most of the tax dollars, alimony, child support and property women get comes from... wait for it... men. All of the security protection they get comes from men -- with token amounts of female cops. If society collapsed tomorrow 99.99% of the independent women you see today would suddenly need men.

So if 'we' get rid of men, women won't benefit.

It's an illusion that women don't need men. An illusion that only exists in 1st world western countries. So when those cultures fail so will the illusion.

I reject the premise of that question because a single mom cannot make a family on her own from my pov. Just like the legal system says it's impossible for a child to have 1 parent. I say it's impossible for a true family not to have a dad. Which is probably why in the old days, a widow never stayed a widow but would re-marry.

here's a fact, our testosterone decrease every year as work is getting easier because of development, more options are getting available and microplastics are contributing with that cause. With develpment, a job of a construction worker, sewer/power plant engineers, or other deadly stuff can be done in a press of a button.

Robots will never build skyscrapers, maintain roads and bridges, operate oil drilling and offshore platforms, operate oil tankers, operate the tug boats that guide them into port, fix electrical and plumbing problems in homes and office buildings, fix flat tires, catch and process fish, design and build shopping centers, wear a badge and protect citizens from bad guys, run into burning buildings to save people, cook fine cuisine in a five star restaurant, operate a farm, and so many other things that require a human mind AND body and that most women either are incapable of doing or doing want to do.
