Nothing really stands out as the craziest.

When I was 15 and learning how to surf, I had paddled out past a set of waves that were too large for me. I was sitting on my board and a large dorsal fin cut through the water maybe 30 feet from me.
I freaked out, paddled hard and belly boarded my surfboard on a big wave all the way to the beach.
When I got there I was about to start yelling "Shark!" when an older surfer who had been watching said it was a dolphin. Boy did I feel stupid.

One time I was working on my swamp cooler (evaporative cooler) in front of my house. It sits on a wooden stand, the legs of which sit on cinder blocks that are lying on their sides.
I was stomping around in there and all of a sudden my wife pointed and said "What's that?" When I looked down, there was an adult rattle snake curled up snoozing in one of the cinder blocks. My foot had been 2 inches from it but it wasn't alarmed.

One time I was in my garden and saw cat walking on the path toward me from the side of the house. From a distance, it looked a bit large and walked funny.
It kept approaching and I realized it was a bobcat walking like a bull dog with his elbows out and a grumpy look on its face.
It just kept coming nonchalantly and passed maybe 10 feet from me without even giving a sideways glance. It was like I was too insignificant to acknowledge. LOL

There have probably been crazier things, but these are some that immediately popped into my head.

I was on a backpacking and camping trip on Isle Royal and I finished pitching camp and since Lake Superior was nearby and no one around I took a short swim (nothing on). As I was walking back to camp for whatever reason let out a deep bark like sound. And about 50 yards from the trees a young but very Large Bull Moose came out to Challenge me over the territory as it was Moose Rut Season. I was like F shit and I am completely naked. So I thought quick and there was a large fallen log to my side and I got up on it about 4 feet in the air. I grabbed a large log like a stick and I stood as tall as I could waiving that stick. Finally the Moose backed off and dissappeared into the forest. I stood there a minute and then carefully got off the large log - a large splinter in my sensitive places would not be good a Seaplane ride to medical attention. Anyway I returned to the tent slept over night and continued on the next day. Was a 6 day 50 mile trek over remote trails. Quite an experience.

The next day I laughed at myself and wondered which stick scared the Moose away? Lol I felt like what a caveman might have felt like for a minute. Yes.

@Staglioni I've been through your lovely country and yes Moose are everwhere. No joke if you hit one with the car at night and it falls through your windshield.

That’s a stout breed of moose! It’s over ten miles from the nearest shore to swim and Superior is extremely deep and not an easy swim even when it’s “calm”.

@Chazmatazz269 There is a lively population of Moose on the Island which is about 55 miles long and about 5 to 10 miles in width and they do swim from the other shore which is Minnesota or Canada. This one was a young bull but still large - guessing 2500 pounds Rack of 8 to 10 feet - stood probably 7 to 10 feet a the shoulder. My strategy was not to run but appear as tall and formidable as possible so I got on top of the log which was 4 or 5 feet just below chest height and stand tall and I grabbed the long stick which was a piece of log - just made low noises and waived the Log. The Moose approached with in 50 feet realized I wasn't another Moose and dissapeared into the woods. This was a beach setting. It was an experience but I am an experienced outdoors man and know how to deal with wildlife.

I guess the time we ran over something on the freeway and one of the tires popped. We were lucky no one was around us and he did everything you're supposed to do, but the car just kind of took off to the left all of a sudden and we did one flip and landed upright in the median. It went about as well as it possibly could have. I barely had a bruise or two, nothing major and I don't even think he ended up with a bruise at all.

Hmm there are different categories of things I could focus on but I’ll mention one I don’t think I’ve said here before, I was on a local TV commercial for my uncles business, I was the receptionist in the commercial. I was not actually the receptionist. I also recorded the phone voicemail for his company like “press 5 to return to the previous menu” that stuff, he still uses my voice for that.

As a passenger we flushed ( head on ) a tram safety zone , car set into flight ( Blues Brothers style ) flew though the air at high speed , car hit road on coming down rocked left ( hard ) right ( hard ) didn't flip and head on into a tree , in front of St Kilda town hall if anyone knows 1.15 am , I was 21 ..
YES driver was intoxicated and asleep.

2 . Seduced by my 27 year old neighbour when I was 18 , she was smokin hot , could NOT believe she was remotely interested in this kid , but after many signals she finally made it absolutely obvious haha , which is what I needed.

3 . Got into a massive fight ( somehow ) in Melbourne CBD ( was 25 ) no doubt I was going to get a bashing , but it was ridiculous, I landed a punch on the biggest guy , he fell and hit his head , then instead of attacking me together , it became " one at a time " some guy on the street came to help and we got rid of all 5 , blood all over my clothes , they wouldn't let me on the train , but I managed to get on at an unmanned station..
    Like a movie out come.

3 . Later on in life , had a girlfriend ( kinda ) with a terminal illness , I was trying to help , like what can you do , just make her happy , change topics , silly gifts , wrote her notes.. stuff like this , but it looks really bad , and I was really distressed , and was trying to think of maybe what I could do , I figured if I asked her to marry me , she'd think it was really stupid , laugh and laugh ( kinda my goal ) , so I did it..
And she said YES , and guess what? She survived , I couldn't believe , so I married her in like a civil kind of ceromony , and it did work really well , her health was good ( looked good.. like nothing wrong ) and I was really seriously heartbroken 2nd time , when she died 4 years later , and still much younger than me.

Cheated on my ex with her two younger sisters. Had sex with my ex at her place when her parents were out of town. Anyway wed had sex and been drinking and smoking weed and she passed out. I went to the kitchen to get something to eat and drink and got talking to her sister who was basically wearing just a t shirt, we got to talking and i said something flirty which i can't remember, next thing I know we are making and I ended up in her bedroom. I creeper backed into my ex's room an hour later and she's still passed out. So I go to sleep. Next morning my ex has left me while she goes to work. I get up and go to the bathroom forgetting to lock the door. So im taking a wizz and the youngest sister walks in accidently, she closes the door in shock. Then she brazenly walks in and walks up to me and says she heard me last night with both her sisters and wants to know what the fuss is about and she takes a long look. I ended up going back to her room and tearing that pussy up. I dated my ex for another 2 years and cheated at every opportunity with her sisters. Was a whole drama when It was found out and yet they still competed with each other for me.

I hit a light pole and went off side of bridge at 60 mph and when my truck was rolling I was thrown out of the passenger side window and all I had was minor cuts from glass , my buddy was in front of me when it happened and he gave me a ride home right after it happened. There have been lots of other things that have happened that i was a part of but those are very long stories

Several years ago, I was rafting with friends on the Youghiogheny River near Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. We went over a set of rapids, the raft flipped, and we were pinned against a large rock in the middle of the river. No one could get to us to help us. We each ended up bailing out and sliding on our own downriver where we could get plucked out of the river. At the time, very scary. In hindsight, it was a lot of fun.

    Maybe that:
My heart stopped for a few seconds while listening to a preacher giving a sermon.
Simply due to the intense feelings. I felt energy only left at the end of my limbs.. so I decided to pinch myself and did so. A man next to me seemed to feel that I was twiching weirdly or so.. but then recovered.
That man delivering the sermon was one of the best in my life, whom I learnt a lot from and made a huge part of my current personality. I loved his influence on me and still do. He passed away 2024.
    May he rest in peace.

Quite a shock... it was actually two occasions... the first time one of my uncle's kept throwing me in the water and I almost drowned if I wasn't quick enough to escape... the second time I was standing by the shore... a wave pulled me in and I kept on turning under the wave... just as terrible... I choked up so much water you have no idea... Lol!

Going down in a mineshaft when the cage went into freefall. Being in a house when it was collapsing around us during a storm. Playing for 5,000 people and getting a standing ovation. Seeing more of the world than not. The downside is I'm 40 and I feel about 75 but I suspect (hope) it's just a phase.

When i started attending college there was a boy, we sometimes exchanged our opinion about the topic we were studying and after two weeks he sent a girl to ask me whether i would like to date him unfortunately it was very bad time for me so i refused.

Being dragged through a procession of people to see the pope. Some guy was trying to hit on me and we made it through security. The irony is that I wasn’t even a Christian back then. I had no interest in seeing the pope.

Got rejected without even asking, was just talking to a random girl, she made it awkward cause I think her favourite person came around.
I loved her but didn't wanted a relationship at all cause we had different life goals.
We fought and the friendship was over then and there.
